I got my MistKing when I got my chameleons two years ago, and this thing was a mess to try and figure out, and I eventually just tossed it aside since I went to smart plugs anyways so everything is timed on an app on my phone, but I just recently got some neon day geckos and I need their cage misted in only 10 second increments and the smart plug app only allows one minute intervals. I finally pulled this thing out again and immediately remembered the headache of trying to figure it out, but I found this video very quickly, and it was a stress saver! The "stop" is VERY misleading! Luckily I figured it out before I let their cage get misted for like, 8 hours!

Thanks so much for making this video! I had the same problem; timer ran for 3 hours instead of 3 minutes! I couldn't figure it out. The little instruction manual that comes with the pump doesn't tell you that the "STOP time" is actually the duration. Such a boneheaded design flaw for such an awesome product. Hope they fix it going forward. Thanks again!

This helped me a lot! I have had this system since 2015, I used it for little and could never figure out the timer. I just now set it back up and got it back working for my box turtle that I have had for 8 years, and I can't thank you enough! Umm for how many enclosures? How many nozzles? That's a hard questions to answer. I use my MistKing for 3 chameleon enclosures with multiple nozzles these days. But it doesn't seem like it uses much water. My bucket can last me a over a week.

Hi. By setting 2 programs, will it automatically go to the next program if you have 2 different programs set up? Or do you have to click the next program for the misting to work at that time? Like by you setting it for 8:30am on (P0) And setting the second time for 5pm on (P1) Will it automatically switch to (P1) from (P0) by itself or do you have to still click it to that specific setting?

Good idea getting the enclosure set up beforehand. I’d recommend the MistKing. It’s a finer mist, and most importantly let’s you set up the time and durations that a chameleon needs.

You may not see this but in the vid you said that misters should go off before lights turn on and after lights turn off but in this vid you set it up opposite after lights turn on and before they runs off so I’m just a little confused on that part

Not for a chameleon. There are lots of limitations with that timer and won't allow you to mist your chameleon when it needs. Not to mention the mist is more of a spray. The MistKing is by farrrr the best misting system for a chameleon.

You wouldn’t want it to constantly mist to maintain the humidity because then your enclosure may not have the chance to dry out and could grow mold as a result.

Programming an expensive misting system should not be so mystifying! Why not, by now, have this thing able to run on a phone or tablet and simply touch icons that actually make sense! i. e. "ON" then select a time then "OFF" select a time. There are literally wifi switches on Amazon for $10 that let me do this with my lights...ANY lights. So why not the Mistking? They need to take a look at the Neptune aquarium controller software and learn a lesson. Keep your customers happy. I love the Mistking but hate the awful controllers!

The times you set for your mister are dependent on your species, where you live, etc. so it'd be a bad idea to give specific recommendations when there are lots of unique factors to consider.
