Lots of great info setting up one of these winders. I would use your etcher to etch the centerline, then fill it with marker if that never changes.

Blue locktite should be good. Would not need heat or excessive force to service.

I may have missed this but if I mess up and have to unwind the wire can I still use the wire again? Or once it bends around the bobbin it will have a bend in it so it won't sit properly if used again?
