You do need the av cord. Without one of the two, it won't show anything.

Wow young man thank you so much for explaining this I could not find out where that little thing went that was on the power supply and I knew somebody online would explain it and all the other videos I watched said nothing about it! So even though you were bouncing around a bit which you uploaded this 3 years ago and the stabilization and cell phones and cameras is a lot better now. You made the point very clear thank you very much! I've got a GameCube that I've had for a while and I used to play with my kids in the early 2000s and my son is now 33 and he's a gamer. I wish I had a couple of those cordless controllers I think I had more games but whatever you know how stuff disappears? At least I have one game the original Mario kart double dash I love it LOL. And I'm glad that I still have plugins on the TV because the TV is over 10 years old. It still has the plugins I'm sure. Yes you get a thumbs up! 👍
