This is a wonderful video. I have had my machine for a year and should have watched this in the beginning. I learned so much. Thank you!

So glad to see you doing Grace tutorials again. Your tutorials are my "go to." I am considering an upgrade, so will be watching more of these.

Leah I so appreciate your tutorials. You explanations are awesome and easy to follow. I bought a 19x elite last year and love it but tension- ugh! I always need to refer to your videos but I am learning and getting more fearless in the troubleshooting process thanks to you. You are a great teacher.

I’ve just started with my Little Rebel. There is some useful information in here which relates to the Little Rebel which is new to those of us stepping up from a domestic machine 😊 (bobbins, needles, threading)

Yes, and my steps for preparing my Little Rebel are exactly the same. I adjusted my bobbin the same and wind fresh thread from a spool I've personally opened.

Love your tutorials……I still refer to your loading video. I do not use my Longarm a lot so I always need help when I am trying to figure out just how to load.

It seems like Grace introduces new better machines very frequently which means some of the recent purchases might feel outdated before they are really broken in.
@LeahDay Жыл бұрын
We have released several new machines in the last 4 years, but other manufacturers launch like this too. As for feeling outdated - that’s just a feeling. Be happy with what you have! There’s no reason to upgrade if you’re happy with your machine.

Which frame do you have? Can you share a few comments on the difference between the Continuum II frame and the new Evolution frame? Do you have a video on the new frame?
@LeahDay Жыл бұрын
I do have videos on the Evolution Hoop Frame and you can find the first here - Evolution Hoop Frame - Assemble the Frame for Longarm and Home Machine kzbin.info/www/bejne/poLOlIetitWkaLc The Evolution Frame is overall built thicker and heavier than the Continuum II and personally I like the position of the rails better because it works well for my favorite way to load using the bottom front rail. Continuum II frames will be sunsetted soon so if you’d rather have this frame, I recommend purchasing before the end of August.

Could u talk about what u machine stitch with manual or other.
@LeahDay Жыл бұрын
I don’t typically use the Manual mode, but many quilters that learned quilting with manual mode only longarms do still use and like that mode. The basic idea is to keep your movement steady to stay in time with the speed you set on the machine. Regulated Cruise means the stitches will be the size you set (regulated) and the needle constantly bouncing. I like free hand free motion quilting in this mode. Regulated Precise is also regulated but the needle will not move unless the machine is moving. I tend to use this mode for ruler quilting. And finally Basting is for tracking down the batting and quilt top to start and basting the layers together if you need to.

I’ve been thinking about upgrading my machine and table. I already have qct, would I be able to use that with the new machine and table?
@LeahDay3 ай бұрын
Most likely, yes, so long as you’re using a QCT compatible frame and longarm. Shoot us an email at LeahDay.com/contact with your machine and frame names and I’ll look them up to double check!

Hi Leah, can you tell me or give a link to the tablet holder behind the touch screen? Thanks!
@LeahDay10 ай бұрын
The tablet bracket is included with QCT 6. It's not an attachment you can get anywhere as it requires a special bracket to add it to your longarm and the bracket itself is sized specifically to hold the right tablet. You can learn more about QCT here - leahday.com/products/quilters-creative-touch

@@LeahDay thank you for the reply. I have QCT5 Gold, and I am upgrading my machine to a 21 Elite so I need a new stand to attach to the machine and put my surface pro onto. I guess I’ll call Grace on Monday. Thanks for letting me know.

How much space should be between the bottom of the sandwich and the bed of the machine. Also, how much space needs to be between and top of the sandwich and needle. My batting is very thick. Thank you
@LeahDay6 ай бұрын
I like to set my back rail so I can barely squish my fingers between the rail and the longarm bed. Keep in mind, if you don’t have an Idler Rail, you’ll need to adjust this back rail up higher as your quilt rolls up on the back rail.

I used to think the same thing. With the right budget and saving strategy, Grace Company longarms are within a hobby quilter's reach. Unlike more expensive brands like Bernina, these are designed for hobby quilters and at priced at or lower than some home sewing machines, especially embroidery machines.
