Watching all of the Australian 4wd channels 1st I have to say I love it and I will someday be over there wheeling with you all at least once. Second I never quite understand why everyone seems to think that they need to pick a gear when driving an auto. In the 70s and 80s with weak engines and 3 speed autos yes I get it but I own a hemi ram 1500 and my father owns a Cummins ram 2500 and both have enough power and gears that in sand it's best to leave it in 4wd high and just let the transmission do its thing in drive. My hemi has the 8 speed as I'm sure Sarah's does and low range is too low to be good for much but big rocks or steep descents. No wheel speed. In sand and mud just put it in drive and let her shift. Try it. You will like it.

Speaking as a Ram 2500 owner and having driven it in very soft/loose sand, I find I wouldn't go under 20 psi...maybe 18 psi. But, 20 psi produces sufficient floatation on 35s without risking losing a bead. The 2500 platform can have 2,000 lb difference over the 1500 from the factory, so you have to air down accordingly.

I agree. I've got a Power Wagon with a FWCamper in the bed, bumpers, sliders, gear, 9,500lbs. 18 is really the absolute lowest I've gone. All depends on the tire construction too, but 10 on a non-beadlock rim? No.

So as a Driver , you need to give feedback for your team, What's not right and what's not feeling right. The more feedback the race Car driver can give to there pit crew is impeccable to make the Race car correct for the Driver , I'm sure your aware of that & that's how race teams roll being part of a crew in Sprintcar Racing.
