I love the good ol slip bobber. I don’t use often but like it. Sometimes like to chill and throw a greasy NC on it. Great video

Thanks Cody!! It should work really good on your trout ponds. I used to catch a ton on slip bobber and leech.

Awesome job explaining the process. In fly fishing we do use a similar technique to suspend a nymph above the bottom in flowing rivers. Except it’s called a “strike indicator”. However there are differences.
@TTangOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ken! Yea an indicator would be a fixed bobber for not too deep water haha. I wish we have more flowing streams close to properly use strike indicators.
@kenrybchuk43092 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. The closest good stream I have fished is either Battle or Bone creek. With the temperatures we’ve had though, I have no idea how well they would fish now. I have my next Sky Tale Productions video coming out soon. Went to one of my favourite trout fishing areas in Manitoba. But have never fished there in August and especially in consideration of the temperatures being experienced. We did okay in comparison to everyone else fishing. But still…Either way a weekend out camping and fishing is better than staying in town. BTW - I hope my Facebook comments didn’t offend you or anyone. I’m not against anyone fishing with bait…but how people dis-reapect nature and the catch they are after. I’ve seen and picked up way many empty or 1/2 full rotting plastic live bait containers, discarded tangled Walleye rigs, and dead or dying fish from released fish from such rigs. Not all bait fishers act this way of course, but the few. I also think that everyone can learn from different styles and methods of angling.

I went trout fishing recently on stocked ponds but man..... I was cooked!! I'm not gonna go trout fishing until the weather goes back to 20 degrees.... And no your FB comments are awesome I just forgot to reply haha. Maybe I should make videos with more advise/reminders as far as fish handling and environment goes. Thanks for commenting Ken!

@@TTangOutdoors - wouldn’t hurt. I like your videos…lots actually., wish I could, but can’t, put together an instructional or vlog type of video period.. Keep your videos coming. Please view my next video when it comes out and any feedback would be much appreciated. I completely agree about trout fishing and in general right now. The hot weather has definitely messed things up. I wouldn’t keep anything from any body of water till all the lakes turn over and the temperatures drop for a bit.

@@kenrybchuk4309 I will definitely check out your next video and leave comments Ken!! I just watch other bigger fishing KZbin channels to get tips on vlogging and flows and stuff, and incorporate that into my own content. I have set a goal to land a nice rainbow this year, hopefully this fall season!

Excellent Presentation- Quicks Question - If we are using non Fluorescent Hook, how far do we have to tie the hook from the bead ? Do you have Vedio for that. thanks
@TTangOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the great question. In this video, the bead is a sliding bead so the knot at the hook eye stops the bead, so in the water the bead might be moving up and down the line. This is just a basic tutorial but you can experiment with different hook size, color or no color, beads or no beads. I've caught walleye with different combination and I honestly think it comes to personal preference but the most important thing is to set the depth right and use the right bait for walleye. I've seen guys sliding 6 beads with different colors and some with no beads and both would catch walleye.

I use 10lb power pro braid about 0.15mm line diameter

You didn’t show how it goes thru the top guide. I have to trim my bobber stops shorter as longer ones tend to get stuck at the top guide.
@TTangOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I did mention that a bigger tip guide is preferred. I know some good lure fishing rods don't have large guides and those are not meant for slip bobber. It all depends on the line thickness and guide ring diameter ratio.

No need to split line types just use regular mono or whatever your base line is on ur reel . No need for a second line type . Why these guys recommend a second line is beyond me soo stupid smh . Iv had tons of success with just slip bobber fishing using whatever line is on my reel without a second line as a leader. Theres no neeed for this !!
@TTangOutdoors3 ай бұрын
Pike bites off and then you lose your slip bobber, that's why I use a swivel connection. I like braid main line personally
@larsvegas15053 ай бұрын
@@TTangOutdoors Mono sinks, braid floats.. i use braid mainline mostly.. if u wat to set the hook and ur line has sunk it can be challenging. also using braid leader is not nice.. so use fluoro.. or mono.. or steel leaders for pike.. (i use .80mm fluoro for pike/zander in europe)... but u can use smaller diameter if ur not catching a lot of pike. Also i dont like color coated hooks.. they dont go in as good.. also the color difference is arguable. I use gamakatsu mostly..
