When you open the printer ,you can open the top further and it will stay up,it has a detent.

@@Glitterandcoffeexoxo I have made product labels and custom stickers. It's a little different but saves a ton of money especially since the labels are waterproof. I think I might do a follow up video, I've had a lot of people asking how to make them.

Yes, I have my thermal printer unplugged from the main computer. I just save the jpeg or pdf of the shipping label then print it via Bluetooth using the shipping printer app

You probably saved it too small. The template is 100mm x150mm if it's a 4"x6". What size are you trying to print? Is it a shipping label or something smaller?

​@@alexuscollins4490 I know this is old, but if you haven't figured it out, it someone else comes across this problem.... Take an alcohol wipe (to keep finger oil off) and press the thermal printing pad back into the machine with a small amount of force, like you're trying to press it into it's slot. 9 times out of 10 this fixes the half and half issue... Otherwise, the thermal head is bad and needs to be replaced

I just print with my phone as well, but I had to set it up using a regular computer first. Then, I unplugged it and I print using Bluetooth and an app via my phone.

Sorry for the late response. A round label is tricky. 1.57" is 40mm. What I do is put in a custom value between (35mm to 38mm) depending on the image you're printing. The nice thing about thermal printers is, you're paying a couple pennies per label and you can print 1 at time. I practiced with my store logo as a sticker. That way I didn't waste them and used the practice labels to customize the outside of USPS shipping boxes.
