Yes, you can use 2 extenders with a few caveats. Performance for the second extender will usually be unsatisfactory. Therefore, each extender should connect to the main router.

I really wish that I could have my own PW for the extender. Every time I need to connect to a different WiFi (daily when my boat is cruising), I must change the PW on all of the SEVEN devices which are connecting via the TP-extender. Can you PLEASE offer a software update which would permit a local PW to go with the Extender's name?

Recently bought an re650 model. Works fine for a while then I suddenly have no internet even though it's still connected to the modem. Works again for a while after I cycle power and then conks out. Pretty frustrating. Probably going to return it

yea trying to set this up has been a nightmare. I've tried both online and their tethering app. Every time the extender appears I can't connect to it, get booted from it when I reach the end of set up, or it disappears from the accessible wifi list. Its been very annoying

You don't get "booted" from it. Once you add your network ssid's and passwords, it is now part of your network. Initially, the unit broadcasts its own wifi, which you connect to ONLY to change it to yours, to which afterwards, you won't connect to it again.

Didn't work for me using the 3rd method the first time. But the second time I did not press the WPS button on the router for too long, just a quick tap, and it worked for the 4G... Did it again, just tapping the WPS on the router very quickly, and the 5G light came on as well. When it did not work for me, I was pressing the WPS button for too long, instead of just tapping it. Hope this works for you.

I am in trouble. I did everything but the leds never get solid (2.4 and 5.0 and the big round button). In other words, I can never connect the Repeater to the router, so My devices can communicate with the repeater but no internet. I tried to connect the router and the repeater using a RJ45 net cable (the same all of us use to connect a router to a PC) and even so there was no solid led (except, of course, the power led). My router has MAC filter (i.e., only registered MAC addresses are allowed to connect) but I am sure I registered all MAC addresses of the repeater on my router. I don't know what to do. Anyone could help me? Please? Thank you in advance.
