My echo dot 2nd generation doesn't respond at all. It is constantly showing blue light (not blinking at all), not a single button responses nor the resetting process works. I tried restarting several times still the same issue. anyone have a solution or might be familiar with such a situation?

Is the speaker on the opposite side of the buttons? If yes, then do the buttons face downwards on the table?

How To Tech When I try to setup my Echo Dot, I get things like Discovery failed and the internet is unavailable with Amazon-8B. It's the Wi-Fi that appears in my Wi-Fi settings. It does tell me it's supposed to be Amazon-XXX, but it doesn't say that in my Wi-Fi settings. I also get repeats of setting up a new device. It goes through the exact same steps.

Maybe? someone can help me out....I have an echo dot....had it for months, the box came with simple instructions, simple because I was capable of setting it up myself. Our internet service was off line for a few days, now I cannot seem to get alexa to work....she is stating that she is not connected to internet. I don't have a smart phone and I cannot find the box and instructions alexa came in...can someone walk me thru this, I have been trying to get Alexa back to my chrome book for hours!!!!! Thank you

I’m not sure what’s so offensive about discussing traffic problems, health problems, or a sloppy football game. Is it just me? The problem-that is, what’s wrong-with substituting issue for problem is that those two words are not synonymous-and no amount of being politically correct, disingenuous, or even condescending-yes, it can be condescending-will make it so. An issue is a topic, such as The candidates will discuss the issues at the debate. That means that the candidates will discuss the different topics, or subject areas, involved in running our country. A problem is something negative. A problem is something that needs to be solved. A problem is something that we try to overcome. A problem is something that we don’t want. There, I’ve said it. And it feels great. An issue is not a problem, but I’ll tell you what is a problem: the grammatically incorrect trend of telling someone that he has an issue when what you really mean is that he has a problem. Call it what it is, and it’ll be easier to solve.
