Got everything hooked up and together. (series x mated to a HD60X) I can capture gameplay just fine but when viewing on elgato itself or even a media player the gameplay is sped up. If I try and slow it down the sound because slowed down. Any ideas of what I can do to fix this issue? Thank you!

I upgraded from the hd60s+ to the hd60 x so I could play at 1440 120 hz while streaming st 1080 60hz but I can't seem to get 1440 to stick at 120hz. I had it going last night messing with some of the EDID settings on 4K capture utility app but can't seem to get it going today for some odd reason. I'm on an Xbox series X I updated the elgatos drivers also by holding the control key on my keyboard while pressing the gear button within the 4K capture app. It seems I can play at 4K 60 hz but can't get 1440 at 120hz.

I'm have EDID input mode set to default and EDID internal to default when I set my series x to 1440 it defaults to 1440 60hz when I switch the refresh rate to to 1440 120 hz it defaults back to 1080 120 hz

Figured it out update the firmware by holding control on your keyboard and hitting the gear in the 4k utility app update it. Then make sure your monitor is set to HDMI 2.0 not 2.1 unless u wanna play 4k at 60 hz stay on 2.1 but if u want 1440 at 120 hz make sure it's set to hdmi 2.0 there should be an option within your monitors settings to switch. Make sure your xbox is off then go into the 4k utility app and switch EDID mode to display turn on your xbox and set your xbox settings to 1440 120 hz and it should stay that way u can tell by looking at the top bar on the 4k utility app it will say 1440@119. There you have it it should be alot easier then that but it's not with this firmware update.

I recently got this capture card In yesterday and I’ve been having some problems with capturing the gameplay audio while streaming to OBS. Everything else works and functions properly when I’ve got things pulled up, but every time I try to play a game the audio only comes through in the slightest, distorted amount. @@ElgatoWorkshop well the issue is that it’s not connected to a TV, it’s connected to my monitor. My Xbox series s is connected to my capture card, which then is connected to my monitor. I’m trying to stream to twitch through OBS, but every time I check my audio panels I have 0 audio feedback from the capture card. I’ve managed to pick up audio a couple times, but it’s only been very minimal and distorted only to fade and return to zero sound.

Our capture devices pass through not only video to the HDMI out port, but also any audio they receive. If you're on a Windows machine does any audio come through if you test inside of our 4K Capture Utility app? Just to see if the issue may be with the setup or something in OBS Studio. Are you using Chat Link with your HD60 X?

Hi Taylor, HD60 X is not supported in our Game Capture software on macOS. It is however, a UVC/USB Video Class device and can be used in almost any piece of software that supports webcams.

Hi, Every time I’m trying to stream on the Series X with the HD60 X running on OBS with my MacBook Pro, it seems to loose signal when I start up a game and flickers with sound still coming through. But every time I press the home button, it goes back to normal, but when I return to the game the screen goes black and flickers on my monitor? Every thing is fine visually seeing it on OBS. Can you tell me how to resolve this it’s driving me crazy?

I think I have the same issue, I also run on MacBook Pro, and everything is fine but when I load up a game the picture in my monitor is either discoloured or keeps flickering and cutting the picture in half and duplicating it, I raised a ticket but not sure the issue, did you get it sorted?

for anyone having stuttery audio issues i fixed mine because my elgato usb was plugged right next door to the ethernet port and the ethernet must have been causing interference so i plugged it into a different usb 3.0 and i no longer have audio issues

HD60 X, or any of our capture cards, sit between your console and TV. Xbox Connects to HD60 X, HD60 X then connects to your TV with its HDMI OUT.

@foxstarx8321 yes! What I found best works is making sure your audio output is through your elgato capture device and the right mic might be connected. Had to unplug and replug while swapping which mic to use a few times but it will eventually work. Other than that and fine tuning my settings a bit this is how I managed to fix it. Also even on a Bluetooth headset make sure your audio mixer is set to party and game chat in your audio output in settings.

Just starting out. Having some issues setting up. I’m streaming my Xbox to my Mac using elgato hd60x and have the capture card and my webcam hooked up to 12 foot usb extender cords to reach my Mac on the other side of the room. I’ve downloaded OBS and added my sources. My webcam shows up and works in the preview. My mic from the webcam is a working source in OBS as well. But when I select my capture source, my card shows up as a device but there is no image just a black screen in the preview. Is it because my Mac is 2017 and doesn’t have hdr compatibility? Someone please try and push me in the right direction. Everything else seems to be fine, it’s just getting the image to start showing in OBS that I’m having trouble with. I’m so close to being able to hit the “start streaming” button. Help me get there please and thank you!!! If I seem new I am, this is all new to me so please be patient! Thanks again!

I have this setup into my laptop. With the utility open, I can see on the screen exactly what is happening on my Xbox and tv. I click record and the counter starts counting up, but when I hit stop, it doesn’t save my capture anywhere. It also shows nothing in the library side of the utility.

You generally don't need an HDMI splitter when using our capture cards. You'd have a display to play on such as a TV and then your normal monitor for your PC or Mac to run your software.

If you go into sound settings on your Xbox and go to additional options there’s three options. If it’s just your headset it’s playing through party chat won’t be picked up by the card but if you click headset and speakers the card should pick up party chat as well as gameplay

How would this work with a monitor that only supports 120Hz via DisplayPort? I'm currently using a HDMI to DP adapter which allows me to use the 120Hz DP on my monitor, but how would the HD60X fit in that setup?

It most likely would work. We've routinely used capture cards with DisplayPort via the use of an adapter. However, high refresh rate of 120hz is not something we've tested with those DisplayPort/HDMI Adapters.

This is the purpose of the HDMI out port. This connects to your TV so that you can play without delay. HD60 X and our other capture cards just sit between your console and TV. If you only have one monitor, you could try switching the inputs in order to view the direct feed from the console.

You don't need an HDR display if you don't want to play in HDR. A normal SDR/non-HDR monitor will work fine for the passthrough. But be sure to disable HDR on your console.

Hi there, Xbox can send gameplay sound and party chat audio to the HDMI output to your TV or capture card and to your headset. That is a normal feature. But microphone sound nor Lobby/Game chat isn't sent to your TV so it's not possible for it to be captured.

Hiiii there, I have a xbox series s connected with a hd60 x on a 1080p hdmi 2.0 monitor In the settings in the xbox i have the resolution at 1080p because the monitor is 1080p, In the resolution settings there is also 1440 or 4k to choose from, why is this? The monitor is 1080p When i had the xbox directly connected to the 1080p tv in the livingroom there was only 720p and 1080p to choose from This is confusing for me 🙈 Also i find the picture quality on the tv much nicer/better when connected directly on the tv I had a nintendo switch connected with the elgato/obs on the monitor and that was just as it should be 🙈 What am i doing wrong? I have a LG 24GN65R-B with free sync premium monitor Also when streaming the stream looks a bit darker Edit: in the xbox settings i changed the color depth to pc rgb, it looks way better but now it looks like the sound on the monitor where the game is playing on is not 100% in sync while in cut scenes, its slightly off, how do i fix that? on the stream ( twitch / kick ) everything looks okay....

Anyone know why when I have mine plugged in and launch a game, the screen goes black for a second, then when it turns back on the game looks terrible. It’s all grey and fuzzy looking. Then when I go back to the dashboard it fixes itself? I have both series X and S and both have the same problem. I have tried different HDMIs. Nothing.

Yes, absolutely! USB 3.2 is a more specific, higher spec version of USB 3.0 but will work with HD60 X.

I have a monitor capable of 165 hz 2K resolution (1440P) . Soon Im getting 144 hz 4K resolution. Can I play on 2K or 4K 120 & stream in 120 as well. I'm very confused and why is my screen constantly going back.

Hi there, With HD60 X, you'd need to set your console to 1440p for 120hz. This is due to the HDMI 2.0 bandwidth limit on the video connection.

You can capture with HD60 X on Windows, Mac, or iPad using our Elgato Capture App. But it can't be used without some sort of computer.

That port is a 3.5mm stereo analog audio input. Used primarily for Chat Link Pro but could be other analog audio.

This just turn off my HDR to my monitor. You obviously have to connect something straight from the Xbox to the monitor to have perfect 4K 120 Hz. I don’t understand how you’re supposed to stream with city quality.
