Think you need the ecu from a type s auto or manual doesn’t matter and a jumper harness. This is if you go Hondata if you go Ktuner think it’s plug and play with them would have to look into it more.

Yes you need the jumper cable and a 07 auto or manual ECU and you can run hondata

@@AllenSpec so I’m doing my install now and the ECU says it it can’t be detected but the software won’t let me manually put the vin in, and I tried locking it manually by plugging it in and it won’t work. Any tips?

I had the same issue I brought my laptop into the car and it just worked for some reason I always have this issue installing hondata

From what I have heard, you need to install an 06 or 07 ECU. Make sure your wiring harness matches . But I think after that you are good. I want to use it on my CLS 6sp because I have genuine headers and damn-near every engine, exhaust, and tranny mod available. She pulls like you would not believe. I have beaten a few stock turbo cars. With a tune, hopefully it will be a little stronger. But as soon as the guys start to mod their turbo cars, I’m done..until I bring my fully-built DSM out on their ass.

Yes as long as it’s a 07-08 Acura TL the hondata just plugs in. Any year below that needs a jumper harness and a type s ecu
