Welcome back guys! After all the positive feedback I received after the last tuning video I decided to show you guys how to set up a street tune for any Honda or Acura. Today I’m tuning James’s Acura TL Type-S with a cold air intake and full Catless exhaust. More bolt ons and a retune are coming soon but we just wanted to fix the garbage Hondata basemap that comes off the shelf. This improved throttle response like crazy and got mad power gains on full-throttle because the Hondata basemap wasn’t giving the car enough fuel and was retarding ignition like crazy.

Man I could use your help! Running AEM-2. My tuner has melted 2 engines of mine. 2nd time was a R-Dot j35a4. Struggling finding anyone who has detailed info for tuning js.

Yes, regardless of what mods you have my tunes usually gain anywhere from 10-30whp in different parts of the powerband compared to basemaps

You can disable the light with Flashpro yes

I have a Acura TL 2008 with •obx racing headers nd obx racing jpipe with a costum 3 inch single exit •cnc lower ported intake runners •intake spacer •racing cold air intake routed to the bottom of my bumper •egr delete and catch can setup and I’m getting a pedal commander setup soon I think it’s time for a tune

Someone else hit me up about that I’m pretty sure there’s no simple way to do it other than a full standalone ECU. So most likely not worth the time unless you plan on making some crazy 500whp+ build

That will mostly just make it sound better, won’t add a ton of power without a tune but if it makes the car more enjoyable go for it all day

My 4th gen TL is tuned. Too much advanced timing causes knock? If so then I believe my tune has too much timing advanced. My knock control shows on my ktuner at a steady 1.09-1.00 all the time and I've always felt like that wasn't right.
