HOW TO Set-Up, Load a Film and Use An Old Vintage Film Projector

Today, we show you how to use an old vintage film projector, so that can can set-up the projector, load a film and play a reel like a pro. The model I use here is a Noris Record SM3 from 1973 that can play Regular 8mm film, Single 8 and Super 8 films.

I recently aquired one of these. One thing i don't understand: what is the purpose of the little black lever at the bottom of the lamp cover?

This is to remove the lamp cover to be able to change the bulb

@@TheLabOtomyShorts That's the little black button at the top. Press it and the cover comes off top first. Bit I mean the one that is below the letters "SM3", between the lower ventilation holes.

@@siedstilstra899 I have sold my projector not long after making the video (now 2 years ago), so recalled the opening option, not sure about the other button now (and can't check)

How do I synch the image so its lined up in the frame? ... Ie so the bottom portion doesn't appear at the top.

I have now got rid off my projectors (so can no longer check for sure) but seem to recall some have a button to tune up frame speed

I destroied an old super 8 porno while I tried to load up on my projector. Since I've never load a film in my life, I thought I've done something wrong, but in your video the method is the same! What could I've done wrong?
