Do you know how to register a used innotab max? I purchased one for my son at Best Buy that had an "open box sale" price on it ($20 cheaper), not knowing it had already been registered by someone else. I read the entire user manual and can't find anything. I have already done the factory reset and get a message telling me that the tablet has been registered, but because it's not registered to me, the Learning Lodge won't let me purchase any apps. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

alanaworsley Hi Alan, that's an interesting dilemma you have. Generally, you would think that a factory reset would do the job, but I guess not. So I'm assuming that you can't log into the Learning Lodge account because it's registered to the original owner? I tried to see all the setting, but there is nothing to change the email address. You can change the password, but not email address. I looked for the answer online as well, on the Vtech website, but I can't find anything. I've sent an email to Vtech Support and will let you know as soon as I hear from them. If you wish to contact them as well, they can be reached at vtechkids@vtechkids.com.

Anthony Godinho thanks for the quick response and for looking into this issue for me! I was able to make a learning lodge account using my name and email. However, upon setting the account up it said that I couldn't register this particular tablet because someone else already had (whoever purchased it and returned it before I bought it.). I will contact them but I may just return it. I've been unable to download the kid connect app to my phone to enable me to message my son as well which was one of the features I was most excited about. Thanks again for your help!

alanaworsley no problem - I wish I had the solution for you. It's frustrating when things like these happen. They should make it easier to transfer devices or have a factory reset setting that allows users to completely reset it so as to allow the owner to start from scratch and re-register the tablet. Yeah, the kid connect feature is a good one to have. Hopefully, they can provide you a quick solution. If not, like you said, the best option maybe to return the tablet and get a new one. Either way, when I hear from Vtech Support, I will post here. Hope you get this sorted out soon.

How do i hook up to Bluetooth??

Hi there, the InnoTab Max doesn't come with Bluetooth built-in, but it is Wi-Fi enabled. However, if you have a Bluetooth dongle, you may be able to connect it via Bluetooth.

Hi Carina, unfortunately, I don't think you can change the language to Spanish on the InnoTab Max. However, I believe you can get some Spanish-language apps and games.

i bought one of these on xmas for my son and been trying to register since then, cant find my wifi and tried typing it and connected it to my mobile hotspot,it says connected but keep getting the error and says unabe to connect to the internet

+VINpeacenotwarCENT are you connected and logged via Parental Control? If you're logged in using one of the users your set up, I don't think it will allow you to register. So make sure you log in using the Parental Control log in.

+Anthony Godinho i cant even acces parental control cause its saying i need to register or do it later,. im connected to the wifi but keeps getting "connection failed http response 404"

VINpeacenotwarCENT It could be an issue with the VTech site. I had another user post that they are having similar issues registering. It could be that they are doing maintenance or changes on the site.

I cannot remember my password for the parental controls. how do I reset it?

Hi, you can follow the steps below to reset your Parental Controls password on your InnoTab Max: 1. Open the Learning Lodge app; 2. Click “My Account” in the top menu bar; 3. Click “Forgot your password?”; 4. Click “Yes” on the confirmation prompt. After you've done the above, you should receive an email (to the e-mail account you used to register your Vtech InnoTab Max) along with your new password. Make sure to check your SPAM folder in case you don't see an email message. If the email address used to set up your Learning Lodge account is not valid anymore, you will have to contact Consumer Services at VTechkids@VTechkids.com Note: Make sure to change your password. Hope this helps.

You're welcome. Do let me know if it works. I know that VTech made some changes after they had the data breach last year, so hopefully the above works. I've given my InnoTab to my nephew, so I don't have it with me to confirm. Cheers!
