How to set up RCBS Handheld Case Neck Turning kit

Short reloading video where I show one way to use an RCBS Hand Case Neck Turner.
I don't necessarily recommend buying or using this product or any other neck turning kit.
I'm sure it helps someone, and that some people care about this. I have not done any studies to see if neck turning helps. I could see it helping if there was a lot of crimp required on your case.

Hello, Turning the neck should only be done to make the neck the same thickness all the way around. If the neck gets too thin, it will split when fired. The SAAMI specification for 243 Winchester shows the neck to be 0.276" and the bullet to be 0.243" This means 0.276 - 0.243 = 0.033. Divide by 2 and you get a neck thickness of 0.0165". Hope this helps.

@@shortreloadingvideos7571 Si, muchas gracias, esa es la medida máxima en teoría, pero la mínima recomendada?, 14, 12 milésima es probablemente la mínima medida del neck por lado de usar de manera segura, talvez 10 milésimas… es la parte que no sé hasta donde podemos usar el casquillo, saludos y gracias.

Man, friend, let me give you a good piece of advice if you want to build a good following on KZbin. Rehearsals are good for calming nerves and getting mistakes out of your viewer's sight. You also need to choose your words correctly, or you don't look like you know what you are talking about. It is a case neck turner and trims the case neck into outside uniformity in thickness with the inside of the case. Not a "tarimmering" as you made a word out of trimmer and turner. It is a totally different process than lapping is for a scope or anything else. You're running your drill way too fast, which can cause a burn in your brass. You have a good idea, just slow down and get things together. I have used neck turning to get single digit groups!
