I have watched many videos from presonus and others showing a lot of cool stuff, but, BUT! It is all useless without this information. You can't use what you cannot access. Joe, the two videos I have seen that you have posted, have provided the best information of all. How to and why. That's great! I will be looking for more videos by you.

Hi Joe, when you add plugins into Studio One do they use the processing from the computer? And if so is there anyway to use the DSP processing from the mixer instead at least for simple stuff like EQing, compressing, limiting, even reverb, etc...? I'm looking to liberate processing power from my laptop for live performance with my band and also for Studio Production as my laptop sometimes gets too hot with big sessions and I start having issues...

Not a super important fact but when you first set up the 32 with StudioOne it automatically sets up your IO, with 37 and 38 being your PC audio so to speak. Great video! Appreciate the knowledge shared, I actually needed this!

Oh and the auto sets everything up as a mono input, honestly not really a big deal but I guess that's why you have the option to change your IO!

Hi and thanks in advance for any help. I have a StudioLive 32SC and Studio One running on a MacBook Pro 15. I have tried to no avail to get sound into Studio One 4.6 by using the StudioLive 32SC as an audio interface. I have followed several videos (including this which is great for explaining the I/O) and the manual and for some reason I cannot get signal into Studio One. I have ruled out a bad USB Cable as I am able to playback from Studio One 4.6 into my StudioLive 32SC mixer. I also have transport controls through UC Net and both my mixer (Studio Live 32SC) and Studio One see each other in the Audio Setup. I have setup inputs in the Audio setup and I don't get any signal no mater if I have the track record enabled or not. I created one Stereo input and one mono in Studio One that mimic Inputs 1&2 and Inout 3 respectively and still no signal. Interestingly, I am able to get sound (signal) into Reaper just fine using the same settings, so I wonder if there is a step in Studio One I am be missing....

Hi Joe! Your page is my goto for everything Presonus. I followed the steps from this video to set up my StudioLive 32s with Studio One 5, added 4 tracks, but playback is only coming out of channel 1. Why aren't channels 1-4 separated for each individual track? Could you please offer some insight? I'm sorta drowning in frustration. Thanks!

Very helpful video. I'm actually trying to hook up my interface not a mixing board to work with my DAW. Tried I'd ask for some help since I'm stuck here. I'm currently on studio one 5 professional and purchased a used/discontinued Presonus audio box 1818. Downloaded the current universal control drivers and get a message when trying to set up stating my interface failed at start up. The interface isn't initialized. check hardware configurations?..don't know what to do here. Universal control doesn't show nor the drop box give me option to choose the 1818. Theres a bunch more interfaces available to choose from the drop box but neither work. I'm on a windows 10 64 bit. Any suggestions what to do or fix?.. thank you

Hiya thanks for the vid. Is there anyway you can use the desk whilst using Studio One. So like UC when i waggle a fader on my desk it moves on the screen? If I press a mute on the desk it mutes on SO? I dont want to use DAW mode. I bought a very expensive desk so I could use less DAW. So spending £4000 for a DAW controller not gona work for me. I want to use my computer / DAW simple to spit out stems what I then mix within the desk. Can this be done? UC works fine but obviously isnt capable of stems. I assumed SO would be the next step up and , well, just work.

Im getting no playback sound for some reason. I have the Studiolive 16.0.2 and everything works when its used for live purposes but as soon as I hit the USB buttons on each channel I have no sound. Studio One 6 isn't even recognizing an input signal. Any thoughts? my desktop speakers are on "monitor out" and I followed your I/O advice but nothing sadly

It´s all very well when the same things happens in my device as on the screen, but but when something does´nt show upp or something else shows up, than it is impossible to go further. Very incomplete and confusing I am sorry to say.. My audio setup list with the inputs does not behave like yours.. I have the 32 version.

Hi Joe, I have been considering getting the Studiolive 32 mixer for a while but no support for Cubase users. That's a shame since there are so many Cubase users out there who are also interested in this board but Presonus don't seem to be interested in getting this fully compatible with Cubase. Perhaps you can get the company to push ahead with full support and make themselves a ton of new sales? Thanks and keep up the good work!

I'm totally with you on this! I"m a long time Cubase user, now at 10 Pro and I recently bought an SL32sc. One of the thing I want to see is full integration between the mixer and Cubase. To the point where I can use my mixer as the mixer for actual mixing. Complete with the motorized faders actually moving like the ones on the mixer in Cubase if I write fader moves in as opposed to lines of automation.

Now.... when the bloody hell is anyone going to start putting up video's that show all this ( or ANYTHING ) about the Studio 64S- it's use ( NOT 3-5 minute 'quick explanations' ) but 20-30 minute REAL tutorials ) that aren't going too fast to follow and assuming every 'term' is understood by everyone?? We purchased a whole system- 64S and you know what??? After 2 months- we can't get it to do anything we need! Seems like a waste of funds to me...
