Excellent video, I had zero experience with Intune and AutoPilot, with your video I was able to setup Intune and AutoPilot using a Office 365 Trial account. A couple of things I want to mention during my setup. 1. You need to add the Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 trial to your tenant 2. You need to assign the above licenses to the users in addition to the E3 trial license 3. Lastly, be patient! It took like 15 minutes to for the sync to complete to show the profile was assigned and the installation of the Office products takes awhile and will show the install as pending at the device install status. Thanks so much for the video. Looking to forward to learning more from your videos. Suscribed!

Thanks for this video! How would you go about to deploy a windows machine with Autopilot that will be used by multiple users? Can one user sign in like shown in this video with the others being able to login afterwards, or does it need to be handled in another way? The reason I'm asking is because I assume there's a limit of how many machines a single user can enroll, and that the onboarding could potentially be different depending on who does the initial sign in (due to different group memberships, ie different apps and compliances available to them).

The only thing I have setup differently is the scop of the MDM enrollment. Instead of selecting "All" I have it as "Some" and have applied a group the all my devices belong to. Autopilot seems to work but the devices are not enrolling into Intune. I can manually enroll them by entering the MDM URL but nothing happens if Leave the device to itself. No apps or configuration is applied. The only part I haven't completed is the setting up of the CNAME resource record, is this my missing link?

Another question is, why this step done manually? is there anyway to automate this as well so you won't do it in advance? Thank you! Afik

the tutorial is how to set it up from out of the box experience, not just about getting the device into Intune. He even says this is a example of what the vendor would do if you have this set up. If your a vendor then you will have this data to upload so you can make it automatic. But if your just looking to get the computer joined than and don't want it pre-loaded in Intune than don't follow this tutorial.

Harry, this was a good tutorial. Our organization is testing a proof of concept autopilot/endpoint but we seemed to be going a different way by using user accounts assigned to device groups to auto enroll. The users accounts are designed to mimic a real user account in azure or ad and signing in kicks off the process. I’m wondering if your way is better but I’m not sure. One issue we have is the hybrid environment. We have a real azure tenant controlled by a much larger organization above us. How do you think this would be possible if our company of 3000 computers wanted to move to autopilot on their tenant but the rest of the other companies of say 40,000 weren’t going to, at least not yet. That company branding ad page kind of scared me because we’d need about 100 of these.

I'm using a laptop for my test box instead of a VM. I ran the script and generated the .CSV file, imported into Autopilot devices perfectly. My issue is when I go to add this newly added device to a group. It's not showing up to add member. I have run the sync option and still unable to find the device.

I believe your laptop was Azure AD joined before and that's why they are still under "Azure Devices" even after you reset it. In Intune, under Autopilot devices, click on the enrolled device. And on the right panel you should see the "Associated Azure AD device:" Add that device in the group and then Sync.

So every client device has to have a csv generated which is then sent over to the Intune Administrator to import?
