HOW TO SET UP YOUR HEROES (IN DEPTH) - SEA OF CONQUEST

Good day to you fellow pirates!
Here is an explanation of how I approach setting up my ships and heroes. I hope it helps you in finding a way to creating your own setup! Leave a like and comment if it did!
I would like to thank everyone for the amount of support I have received since uploading these guides. I have gotten some great feedback and love talking with you guys about Sea of Conquest!

i do not have half of your heroes, and i do have also only three ships so far. Flagship, Black Raven, Crimson Sentinel. Before i saw your video i was mislead to put Madame Lulu on the flagship. With that i did barely survive a seaserpent lvl 26. But putting Madame Lulu on the Black Raven (Cordelia was already on the Crimson Sentinel), and some minor changes on the third place on the ships 2&3 i surved a seaserpant lvl 26 with only a small amount of lost troops. So, your suggestions used as a template according to the heroes i have, i do now better. Thanks!

Hi! Yes it is a common misconception! I’m glad you stumbled upon my video and that it helped you obtain better results as that is what I made it for! Remember, Aslong as you understand how different heroes, skills, equipment etc works, you can optimize the interaction based off of what you have available! Feel free to ask for help anytime!

I very much struggle with this aspect of the game because you can ask 20 people and get 20 different answers and reasons why they are right. It's definitely a deep topic with a ton of important factors but at the end of the day that's what makes it fun and interesting. I have ahab,sharky, Cordelia, molly,qui lanting, luna, and barnacle for legendarys and every epic and keep moving them around still not certain im utilizing all i have to max efficiency. Exactly this! I aim to clarify and make it somewhat easier! Hope it did! My line up has switched since this video haha, but indeed the point I tried to make is that Aslong as you do not have the exact same resources, it’s hard to compare and say a line up is better. I did some more testing on my stream yesterday with magnus vs Armstrong if you’re interested! Feel free to share your lineup in my discord and I can give feedback on it!

Also the depth that makes it good.. it sucks in similar games when everyone has the exact same meta in play and there's no question what stuff is best.

Because there's literally no correct absolutes IMO. I've beaten a level 54 kraken then turn around and lose to a level 50 10 mins later. I literally just beat a level 61 armed frter, then lost to 2 (ran away). Then beat a level 60 and had to run on next 3 tries vs level 60s. Every time coming straight outta port with completely replenished supplies &, sailors.

Very well explained guide man! You understand the mechanics. Can you elaborate on ship parts as well? I notice that on Discord many people are saying 1x Sovereign and 3x Blade but what's your thoughts on that? The other ship parts aren't useful?

Thank you @Nollie23, I try my best, much appreciated! I will consider making a video that elaborates more on ship parts! In short my opinion is that other ship parts can be usefull and should in no way be considered useless, or atleast not all of them. (YET) When combat power levels are within range of your opponent, setups will make the difference. Aslong as you are not taking a full paid account as reference, there will be slight differences in setups. Blade of freedom/sovereign works well with most units as the stats they enhance are more of an allround stat compared to the type specific pieces. (Making it easier to optimize based off available heroes and their individual scaling) Especially when the different rolls for substats come in, it can influence the use of a ship part/set or not. With the "Sovereign of the sea" it is quite clear why it is very useable for your defensive ship. With blade, a lot of heroes scale off of the ATTACK stat so that is why people might try and maximize that stat through the blade of freedom set. I would like to refer you to this clip where I shared a piece of my strategic ship with a little insight on why it is still useable. This piece was obtained pre-update where the ship parts with different rolls were still obtainable in season 1! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYXLmKVsirVsq7Msi=tT09ebL2UKXyl_O_ I will do extensive testing in season 2, but from the pieces I got pre-update I can see that the new sets and substat combinations have a lot of potential! I will definitely make an update once I have tested more!

I dont have Magnus & ive never even considered to put Armstrong on a ship, (shes still down jn 50s). I get attacked and beat higher lever players kn a regular. Flag: Ahab (eagle shield) Wanda (her necklace) & Cordelia (life funnel). I also always fight together, literally never seperate my fleet. I've also been playing with a mixed offensive instead of all blaze or drown or artillery, etc...

I would definitely give it a try! Compositions make the difference but this also involves play style and invested/available resources. Nice to hear other builds working are working for you!

Is that level 17 can kill the sea monster level 20 bro? because i couldn't find any sea monster under level 20 on season 2....

​@Dalouni thanks bro I got it....just one more question can I ask you cause im still new to this game...you know when you doing the attacking..what is black thing fying on top of your enemies ship it's kind like a hammer picture..and when it's hit big fires comes out and pretty much done the damage...I trying to get it but didn't know what was it and how....thanks you bro...

you should not have invested in bones, as free to play he is not good since you need him at a higher rank to be good. in season 1 other s1 heroes like ophelia is a much better option, s2 either focus on adeline or skip it to get obi in s3

Remember Cordelia also removes debuffs. And in crimson burning will be more effective. Upgrade your heroes bro.... What are u doing man..

Hi! Thank you for your input. In the video I explained why I did not put burning heroes on my crimson ship. Ofcourse burning will benefit the most off of crimson. I am also in season 1 so trinkets are not available yet! I also mentioned about the line up changing as you progress and star up characters.
