Some of my favorite things about your preschool were as follows: the loft, the self built shelves ideas, the little drying strip, magnetic wall and the marble maze. I was wondering if you could make another video about how you take care of your class pet, such as what it entails when it comes to taking care of turtles---how old were your pets when you started and how long they've been with you...what they eat etc. Also I'd like to know more about the busy-bags activities Again, thanks sooo much for sharing your unique teaching ideas with the world. I absolutely LOVE what you did with this space!!!! I'm very impressed. I too, am a DIYIER and I loved that you did most of the activities and sections your self. I can't tell you enough how awesome this is. I know you poured your heart and soul into the making of this classroom and it shows! I hope you have great memories and a ton of fun in there. I know your little friends love it too, how could they not! I'm so happy to have came across a video that was entirely DIY and Pinterest inspired! I hope to make my toddler {girl} space like this; DIY...I'm definitely inspired. I do however have one tiny concern, please don't be offended. I'm not being mean or picking by any means...but under the loft area I see a kitchen play space. Is that a hidden space that you aren't able to see if they go in there? If so, I would like to suggest putting a small window under slide so you can see what the children are doing. I'm sure you watch them every minute and do a great job teaching them. But that is my only concern. I'm a new mom, well I have a 2 yr old. I worry about my kid so much that I haven't let her go to daycare or have a babysitter yet. She can't talk yet and we're working on that. So just by me being me, I would be concerned a bigger kid would take her in there and "hurt" her without anyone seeing. I'm sure not all kids are mean but it's just a huge worry I have for my own child. I was a victim of an older child when I was 4 so I think the worse when it comes to daycare and me not being there to watch her. I want to protect my kid but don't want her to not be able to go to a daycare. Well I hope your classroom is still put together and is thriving. I wish you the very best and this is my favorite classroom by far! I love your creativity!!!! You should be so proud of your accomplishment! I'm sharing this video with everyone I know. Thanks so much for your tour!!! I love it!!!!

I love it! Excellent Ideas! Thank you for sharing. I plan to have my in home daycare up and running before the beginning of summer. Although I will open on my main level initially, I plan to move to the lower level of my home and add indoor play equipment, tables, chairs, a kitchenette and many of the cool elements you have featured. great job! Love the loft space. I am wondering if you added a bathroom in the garage? I will be converting my 2 car garage into a daycare with an attached sunroom space and I am trying to figure out how to fit the minimums sq. ft. for a bathroom and kitchen while still providing space for the kids. I love your preschool. I’m a home daycare provider and was thinking of transitioning into just a preschool. The hours of daycare are getting to be to long and hard for me and I have been doing this for over 30 years. In Pa I am licensed to have 6 children. Not sure if I could have more for preschool. All my children are full time so they are here from 6 am to 5 pm. I get paid $170 a week per child. If I transition to preschool and make my hours 8 to 12. What do you feel I should charge. I teach a preschool program now but I do have a mixed age group. The parents I have now wouldn’t be staying as they need all day daycare. I would have to start all over again. Would I need a different license and insurance? Thanks for any help you can offer.
