How to set Viltrox DC-550 language to English from Chinese!

How to change the language of the Viltrox DC-550 Pro Field Monitor to English from Chinese. Hope this helps someone who is struggling with how to switch the language to English. The unit does not come with a manual, and the one I got defaults to the Chinese language with no prompt to select English when you start it up for the first time. They say you can download a manual from their site which has instructions but it is hard to find too!

I wrote to Viltrox asking where to find the manual. Will post a reply here when / if I get one.
In the meantime, I found a copy of the manual here:

Not the best for printing though.
You can also scan the QR code on the card that comes with the monitor for instructions. That is also hard to read as the one file has multiple languages side by side.

I only see two language options on the menu. The PDF manual comes with several more languages - but I do not see an option on the unit's menu. Wonder if they make different versions for other countries??

I’ll definitely check that out. I work almost completely in studio. So it sounds like iPad is a good start. In using it have you noticed any perceivable lag while doing video? I’m actually not even looking for it to record as much as I am to be able to see my screen larger while doing video.

One more question. Do you know if I could connect to a laptop using the capture card as well?

@jodifriedman9864 I haven’t noticed that much lag with either of them. Of course, there will be a little bit but nothing that would cause me any problems. The iPad is a perfect solution if you want to film yourself easily and be able to record on a budget. I really do like the Viltrox for the portability. Hope it works out for you.
