This is a great channel, thank you for making these videos, they're full of great info. I've been binge watching them for the past hour and I picked up so many handy tips along the way.

Great tips for those who does not know what they are doing i was on a job once with my dad an we were setting marble tiles an they was 12×12 we did a bathroom an the builder came through the next day with a golf ball an my dad was about to go nuts an me as well because marble can just crumble at times due to the veins in the surfaces yes we set that floor the same way you demostrated in your video of course just thought id share that story with yal 🙂

Love your channel and great tips. Keep it up man! Quick question, Would you need to key in the substrate for tile if you are placing it over Schluter Ditra?
@WINNI.Designs2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, which means that you want to make sure that the mat is 100% filled

Nice! Is there a time when you would notch the back of the tile as well as the floor or wall?
@thomasmeemer89272 жыл бұрын
Yes in some cases

mine came 3 in a box, and every one has a different signs, a number 1, one has a arrow pointing legthwise, and another tile has an arrow pointing to the side. Im clueless

So if tile has cracked after something heavy fell on it, does this mean that it was not glued properly?
@DavidBrown-ek8it2 жыл бұрын
Not always but it's the case most the time. Porcelain can still chip it it fractures large then yes no bond

If you set tile properly with proper thinset..... particularly porcelain tile......You could drive a car on top of it.

Good video . But that’s just in a perfect world. Most of the floors are not flat and it s hard to have 100% coverage

Thanks for the comment! I know I have to learn. And the experience is coming everyday. Sounds like my content is not for a veteran pro like you, and that’s ok.

Seeing you succeed on KZbin makes me want to start a channel because you’re not that great pal. But you have good tactics for marketing that I’m making note of. Grout line / mortar line? Jam and toast? It’s called a hydrogen bond, or you can say that water likes to stick to itself.

If you have internet and a phone you can do it. Good luck!
