I have a Boss Katana Mini in a small apartment. Good advice about the even twelve o'clock EQ- I do that especially if I switch guitars for practice to start with. I am often at odds with a room mate who's also a musician, but pianist. She just wants her grand piano back she used to have LoLz. One of these days I'd like to try the Katana 50w. Didn't sound that loud in the video but I realize you're adjusting everything in the mix so we hear it and your instruction too. I rarely get my Katana mini much above 25-30% before I get comments about playing softer. Good advice Sir, Thank you

And that's why I bought the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb Blonde. I can set the wattage even lower with the attenuator. I was thinking of getting the Boss Katana 50-watt but because it's heavier and I need a converter for the XLR cable, I chose the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb Blonde. Edited to add, I have nothing against the Boss Katana, but it does not quite suit what I wanted.

Thanks for the info on the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb Blonde. I was also thinking of getting the Boss Katana 50, but now that I know the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb Blonde exists and after checking it out, this will be my next purchase, sure it is way pricier, however I like the simplicity and I like it does one thing, and it is excellent and I love the sound. It is a simple setup both for practicing and gigging so I am digging that. I can always use my Boss GT-1000 core (and monitors) for simulating other amps.

Strats and their clones have always been known for treble loss when the volume is rolled off. However, if you have knowledge of how to use a soldering iron, there is a simple solution for that. By adding a diode and capacitor to the tone pot, you can mitigate most of that lost treble. I don't remember the specific values of the components but it is easily found through a Google search. I put it on all my Fenders, including Teles. I won't say it's an amazing fix but if you detest that lost treble when you roll off the volume, it might be worth investigating.

Thank you for sharing. I use to do that (many years ago) not anymore. That's why my amp tone is slightly brighter than others. Great point too! Thank you!
@gohjohan

If I'm not wrong, Strats with the Treble Bleed function doesn't get affected by the treble loss. I didn't mod mine because that means I'll lose the treble loss character. Now that I have a couple of good Fender amps, I can make up for the treble loss by bumping up treble by couple of notches.

Tone tip: always set tone and volume to 10 on the guitar, and adjust the amp. If your at extremes on your amp (mostly treble), then play with the tone knob A BIT.

What is the difference on the amp between volume and master volume?
@TomoFujitaMusic
@TomoFujitaMusic Жыл бұрын
Old amp has only one volume. Very simple! Volume is main volume & overall volume which can control by master volume. So if you set your volume at 8 (has a lot of gain) then you can control overall volume by master volume.
