Very useful ❤️ When you set the dial to start at 9 am, how does the socket know when it's 9 outside? Does it have an internal clock with which it checks?

Old question but the device is basically just a clock itself: when he twists it to 9AM, it's currently 9AM: that's him "setting the clock". As soon as you plug it in, it starts "ticking" and the dial turns just like the hour hand of a clock, and eventually clicks the switch off and on depending on the little switchy-things.

I have the same one I just got it in a grow tent set it’s supplies power but it doesn’t seem like it rotates the clock so it’s like I’m still stuck trying to keep track of the times myself in the ideas

Put the switch ”on” to the lamp before you set up it on the timer. That works fine!
