How To Setup AT&T LTE APN Settings

I am using android Samsung Galaxy Note 8. After updated my phone, my mobile data totally didn't work. We went to AT&T Shop, they changed my SIM card, but still didn't work. She suggested to call AT&T support. My husband followed all the instructions but still didn't work! 15 minutes later he calling us with new instructions. But zero, and he suggested to call Samsung. My husband called Samsung but the answer was disappointing. No clue because we purchased overseas. So we start to try and error, trying and trying following instructions from many articles on internet. All is failed. Until I found your article plus your YT Channel. I have followed all you said, not sure it would be work without restarting the phone... but yeah, it was work! I am so happy now. Thank you so much!

Erin I could not skip leaving a message after the great result from using your settings. I just got this phone for my birthday, and when I inserted the sim card, and did my porting, I automatically got 4G LTE service, but i wasn't able to send or receive picture messages. At first, I created a new setting as you indicated, but that did not work for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone, but when I edited the actual setting, by entering the information for each setting that were blank, IT WORKED. Almost right away it send the photo I tried to send to my husband through text, because I got a reply from him before I even had a chance to see if it had send it. Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Thanks for the video. It worked immediately for my Lenovo Phab. An AT&T store employee told me my newly purchased phone was only 3G and would never be able to connect to the AT&T data network, let alone the 4G network. He didn't even look into the APN setup! A few minutes on Google and my 4G data connection is strong.

Worked perfectly. I entered everything exactly as you said and within a minute phone works flawless. I have an AT&T phone and even new out the box was not working. Wouldn't receive pic messages even with wi-fi on. 4G wouldn't come on when I turned wi-fi off and now it comes on immediately. It even receives pic messages with wi-fi on. Thank you very much.

You need to look up the most recent LTE network settings for your carrier

Hi Aaron! I wanted to say thank you for this video! OMG, I switched to At&t because of the unlocked phone choices. I was disappointed to see that when I put my sim in it was running on 3G. I was about to return the phone when I came across this video. You are the only one who went into details and had on screen info instructions which help. I followed along with you and BAM!! I've watch this wonderful video 3x already and follow exactly the way he did it. I use an att sim but my new unlocked android phone has 3G signal only. Well, after 3 attempts it's still says 3G on the top right hand corner near the bar signal. However the signal has improved a bit than it was before, the bar has 4 now.

Thanks you helped on my S6 AT&T, first I rooted them, then I didn't know that AT&t and verizon can't root they both got locked. The root failed and when I turning on the phone it doesn't not just stay there and got lock up. I take the phone to the store and fix it, they reset my phone and seen like they install different phone version then the LTE data won't work. There is the service but just no LTE data then I find out that you need to set up the APN by yourself, then I found your video and you very helped me, Thanks!

I have a 1+3 phone been using it on ATT since July and getting LTE after manually setting APN. Since then I installed OTA update 3.2.8 which didn't effect LTE but now I just installed Nougat 7.0 Android and Oyxgen 4.0 that has erased all APN SETTINGS previously installed. Should I just use the same settings as I had before which were the same as you have here or do I need to look for different settings?

so I do have a question if I do this with a phone from one carrier to switch to another (which it worked by the way thank you) will the original carrier know that the phone is no longer on their network? IE can I get charged for doing so even though I'm still paying my bill

They will know that the phone is not registered. I have not heard of a carrier charging you to switch devices you have. I can only speak to AT&T and T-Mobile, but they have never charged me and I switch often.

That's what I assumed. I just got a Nexus 6p and gave my girlfriend my Samsung Galaxy s5 from Verizon to use on att and set it up to work on the LTE. Works great was just checking to see if anything like that has been heard or known to happen

I have a Galaxy Note 5 from Sprint that was unlocked by the carrier. Trying to put it on AT&T's network but I can only access 3G speeds even with this proxy. Since my number is an AT&T Go Phone instead of an actual plan, will that require a different APN?

most Sprint will support at&t 3G HSPA+ band 5 and 2. To get LTE it would need to support band 5,2,4 and 17.

I just unlocked my T-mobile samsung galaxy note 3. It is 4g LTE. I'm using an AT&T sim card. I have been putting in millions of codes none of them seem to work. I called AT&T because I was etting perfect service in town but not at home. She informed me that I am in a poor coverage area so it will be difficult to get Internet either way. I'm going to put these apn settings tomorrow and go into town and pray that it works lol. If it does not work, what can I do? Like I said I've put in a million of these apn setting today. it's driving me crazy lol
