@@iukemartinez That likely means its not being detected properly. Check the connections are working and in the right ports and if you can, test out the mic on a separate PC or laptop to work out whether the problem is with the mic itself. I do have separate videos for fixing devices that aren't working and they will have a few more things to try.

I have no enhancement tab but I have a signal enhancements check box not sure if it should be checked or not also my headset supports 24bit, 192000 hz not sure if I should have it at that seems you have yours at 48hz 16 bit. I also not sure if I should have spatial sound on or off.

48Hz will be enough and the other two options are up to you, try it with or without them and see which sounds best

After an hour, best I can offer is output audio to desktop speakers and input thru earphones (actually any form of speakers will do, device just gets "reversed" to receive). Like, setting up a cheap headset is quite terrible when the matter is pretty simple.

I have two separate plugs in my PC, one for an input and one for an output. My headset has a mic connected to it. If I plug it into the output one, I only get the audio, and not the microphone. If I put it in the input one, I only get the microphone, not the audio.

Not necessarily, if you don't have USB, I'd imagine you have either 1 or 2 3.5mm circular connectors. They'll be fine as long as you connect them to the right ports (headphones to headphones and microphone to microphone).

@@TropicalTech I do believe that my headphone cord is a 3.5mm. The thing is that they work as headphones when plugged into the headphone jack and then as a mic if plugged into the mic jack, but they don't work both at the same time if plugged into either jack.

So that's a normal connector for a headset, and its made for use in a combined headphone and mic port (some PCs have them, others have the two separate (like yours). What you need is a splitter cable that takes the single connector and turns it into the mic and headphone connectors separately that will work in your PC. A lot of headsets should have these in the box with them, but if not they are very cheap if you need one.

Can you show that where are you connecting the aux cable to your pc? Like are connecting it from front or back?

Either should work the same, I'd always use the front port unless for some reason it starts playing up

Hello, I kinda have an issue that is not talked about that much from what I searched. I have a jsaux USB adapter for my headset so it can be used as a USB headset, and I also you a USB microphone model Fifine t669. I wanted to use both of them together when playing games, streaming, talking, etc. Unfortunately, whenever I use the headset with the jsaux USB adapter the mic stops picking up sound or is disabled when I use streamlabs OBS, and the same goes when I use the microphone; the headset with the USB adapter stops working.
