Just want to say that your lighting is great. Yes, so is the lens you are using. But even without the camera and lens you are using the lighting is great. We tend to judge a book on its cover and I love that you made lighting a priority. It paves the way and gives credibility to anything else you might say.

Thank you for this, this video is great! I'll be implementing these steps in my next stream but I do have 1 question. So with this set up I should be able to use my external mics that are going into a blackmagic ATEM mini, go into stream yare seperately with head phones and hear the guests without hearing myself, right?

I noticed you're using cam link. I am familiar with everything mentioned in this video, however when using camlink AND obs, streamyard will not pick up my virtual camera. I just get the logo box. But if I just use streamyard, my camlink works. I have ran obs and streamyard in the past with a regular cam, but now I can't get streamyard to pick up obs with camlink. Any ideas what's wrong? This one is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance

Thanks Michael. One last question. I'm using either Zoom or Facebook messenger in my meetings. Is it possible that a meeting participant's voice will be picked up by my Voicemeeter's Virtual Input and then sent back to the participant creating a voice loop? Or does Voicemeeter ignore sound signals coming from meeting apps like Zoom and messenger to prevent sound looping? Thanks! God bless!

How do I stream to Streamyard (as a guest) using OBS, and at the same time record the live Streamyard show being broadcasted (hosted by someone else, where others and myself are the guests)? I have access to two computers if needed, but for this scenario I am using one computer: What if I am a guest on someone else's Streamyard broadcast. And I use a separate digital mixer connected to the computer for musical performances, and monitor through the mixer's headphone jack. I connect a studio mic to mixer channel 1, monitor it through the mixer headphones, and output it back to Streamyard. Using the same computer, I play mp3's and music videos as backing tracks into mixer channel 2 (via digital USB connection), monitor through the mixer headphones, and output it back to Streamyard. Using the same computer I feed the audio from the Streamyard host into mixer channel 3, monitor through the mixer headphone only, but do not output it back to Streamyard (in order to not create a loopback back to the host). In this way I can control all the levels, EQ, Effects, and monitoring levels to my headphones, and send the final stereo mix out of the mixer and feed it back to the Streamyard host (in realtime). In Streamyard the Camera is set to my webcam, the Speaker is set to the Line-Out in the back of my desktop (which is fed into mixer channel 3 so I can monitor the host's audio signal), and the Microphone is set to the Line-In in the back of my desktop (which is receiving the mixer's main analog outputs). It all works perfectly, and the audio being heard over the stream has that nice clear, warm analog tone. I know how to easily capture my webcam, and set all the same music and video sources into OBS. Then setup separate scenes with all the correct music/video sources, lower thirds, and transitions (I have streamed "solo" through OBS several times with no problems). I can understand how its possible to send the OBS video to Streamyard using the Virtual Camera, and I can still use the same digital mixer setup for the audio back to the Streamyard. In this way the Streamyard host gets all the same high quality audio from the mixer, plus a much nicer video production from the OBS scenes. But my main question is this - how do I get OBS to record all of it while being the guest to someone else's Streamyard? Meaning, the same computer would be logged into the Streamyard as a guest, OBS would already be sending video to Streamyard via the Virtual Camera function, and OBS would also be the music/video media player (sending the audio signal to the mixer, which then sends it to Streamyard). But how would I setup OBS to also record the live Streamyard broadcast that everyone is seeing, so that I have a high quality recording of the broadcast (sometimes they have multiple host and guests)? Do I run two instances of OBS on one computer (is this even possible)? Or is this where I introduce a second computer to view the live broadcast on the browser (from youtube or facebook), and record it using the OBS installed on the second computer? Should I use the Window Capture or NDI capture setup (which is better)? What is the best solution for this scenario/use-case. So to summarize it again. How do I stream to Streamyard (as a guest) using OBS, and at the same time record the live Streamyard show being broadcasted (hosted by someone else, where others and myself are the guests)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do assume that you are familiar with obs. If I went through each piece as if you were a beginner I would end up with a 20 min video no one would watch. I show everything on screen it just may take a watch or two and some playing around to get it. And this is GOOD. You will know a lot more about how it all works by fiddling with it than you ever would if I just walked you through it at a snails pace. In fact you never would have found or been suggested the video. It would be too long and no one would watch so youtube would ignore it.
