The speed of those vpn connections are worse than a snail's walk. I have set up own OpenVPN server in Vbox. But my ip still shows ISP's ip. How to masquerade it with config files and not sure if the traffic is going through VPN. I get an "unidentified network and No Internet access" when connected to OpenVPN server. Any idea?

You will have to get the username and password from your VPN provider, Open VPN is just a client, you still have to pay for the VPN service.
