Thanks for sharing. I think you will be happy with it. My favorite charger before was the Traxxas live dual charger. Although I will say that it does discharge faster. Overall the Imars d300 is my favorite charger for many reasons.

I hope you like it. It’s been my go now since I got it. I have a Traxxas live dual, a great charger but this one is a lot easier for non traxxas batteries and easy with traxxas if you have the right adapter.

Hey bud awesome video thanks for sharing - quick question, is it best to default charge a Lipo under the charge setting or the balance setting? Is there any negative outcomes from using the balance setting to charge as default? Thanks :)

Thank you 🙏. That is a great question and maybe I should do a short video on it. The answer is, The standard charge feature balance charges your batteries for you automatically. You can watch each cell move up while it’s charging. The Balance feature is cool because you can use it to fix bad lipos. Well to an extent. If the cell is dead dead, the charger won’t be able to fix it with that setting.

@@familyrc777 amazing thanks so much for the quick response! So it’s ok to to use the ‘charge’ feature as a default then as I noticed when I plug my g-tech batteries in it goes to charge and not balance so I guess that’s preferred unless there’s an issue with the Lipo…?

Question, if I got a battery that was, say, 9200mah, would I have to go into the parameters and raise the maximum mah it will charge? I saw razor rc and it showed around 7600 as a default cutoff so it doesn't overcharge. Or, would the charger recognize the mah and automatically continue to fully charge the 9200 pack at 9.2 amps?

Hello, sorry for the delay. You can set the how fast it will charge separately from how full it will charge. You can choose what volt each cell (full) goes to and then you can set at how many amps (fast). It will automatically set the volt it will charge at and you can change it as well. You will have to change what amp you charger it because it will be saved from the last time you used it. Also any parameters set on side A will be automatically set on side B but can be changed.

I just bought one and used it for first time today. Quick question : how can I leave it on the individual channel , because after awhile, it defaults back to both A and B Channel. I want it to stay on the channel that’s charging not default two the dual screen

I have several batteries with internal balance circuit. Is there any trick to charge lithium batteries without connecting the balance cable with the D300?

I love the gens ace.. I’m having a hard time with it.. keeps saying no balance cable and it’s clearly plugged in. Getting a replacement.. hopefully it’s just a dud

Ah man that’s rough. I started using balance boards to help protect the balance ports of the charger. They cost like $5 a board, Which I suggest. I can add a link to this video description if you would like. I’m sorry to hear about your charger. I hope the next one works perfectly.

lol well the ones I got were off of Amazon as well. I mean they do have different levels of balance boards. Mine were cheaper. I just checked and I got 4 for $10. I’m sure there are better options out there. But mine have worked for me. Did you attempt to use the charger with no balance board and get the same error?

@@familyrc777 yes, I tried my own trouble Shooting. Makes no sense to me, it works when it wants to with/without the balance board/extensions or even by itself. So I’m hoping it’s just a dud.

Yeah you probably have a dud. I’m sure it’ll work out with the next one. I’ve been happy with it. Even over my Traxxas live dual which was a game changer for me. The only downside for the gens Ace charger is that it discharges very slowly. Otherwise it’s been great. Good luck!
