I have the 4 and it is terribly noisy, making it impossible for me to use it in the evening when the kids are asleep. I would be very grateful to you for such a video.

It depends what version..you have to use a version of the software that was released AFTER the machine was released in order for it to support it

I just got my 5 and was super excited to use it…cut a bunch of vinyl with the auto blade only to have it not cut all the way through on a lot of details. 😢 You recommended the 1mm blade, do you need to get multiple blades for different mediums? I am going from the original Cameo to the new 5!😳

No, you can use the same 1mm blade for different materials. The depth of the blade can be adjusted manually by turning the top of the blade holder to adjust the distance of the blade that's exposed

My cameo 5 is scheduled to deliver tomorrow. Yaaayyy! Ive got my silhouette studio updated and ready to go. 1st question, do the adapters for the cameo 4 work in the 5, likd for CB09 blades, etc? Wondering if i should hold on to the adapters and blades, or give to my daughter in law. Now to say, can hardly wait for the ES mat, foil tool, and embossing tool to come out!

Hello I just recently purchased a cameo five, I have the cut blade set and locked, I then did the firmware upgrade. In the carriage 1 dialoge box popped up a message saying "No Carriage 1-compatible Cut action found for this materiasl. Select a different action, or click MORE to define new setting." Is this because I just went to the firmware upgrade and didnt have a design and material selected? Thank You for you help? Do you have any coupons available for your University? If you can't print every day - even something a simple as a nozzle check - then I would suggest an alternative to DTF. The only exception wouldbe if you get an Epson F2100 / 2270 or STS DTF printer but those are much more expensive. I had to suck it up and buy a Cameo 5 because my Cameo 4, which I did not have very long before there was a crashstopper issue, and the Silhouette team was not helpful in the least. They didn't respond after the first message to help, and subsequent emails. I had had enough of them and just bought the new machine. Do you, or anyone have any idea what I should do with the old machine? I'd hate to just toss it in the landfill. Thanks for the tutorial as there were no instructions whatsoever.

Hey Melissa, I got my Cameo 5 today and I’ve not been able to get past the firmware update. It says it’s updating but then the status disappears and the send button isn’t clickable. If I restart it tells me again that I need to update the firmware. It also doesn’t recognise my autoblade. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? I’m also using Mac with the Ventura OS.
