How exciting! I deliberated for a long time whether to get the Cameo 5 or the Cameo 5 plus (I'm switching over from Cricut). I ended up ordering the plus and hope I made the right choice. Now I have to wait until December. Aack! I'm really looking forward to your videos regarding your new machine. Can't wait to see it in action!

That's odd. I would email Silhouette. It will probably take a while, but they should send it out to you.

I am not able to cut. it sends the job but not cutting. Blade does to look low enough but I put it in correctly.

In the send panel, are the cut lines lit up?

@@silhouettesuccess Yes they are in red. I am familiar with this since I have used Silhouette for a couple of years now. I am just so lost right now. The blade housing is not lowering enough for the blade to even cut. I think this machine might be defective, not sure.

@brendasantos-yt7wv did you check to see if the blade is adjusting? Does the red line move to the right number? It's hard to troubleshoot on KZbin because I can't see pictures what's happening. If it were me, I would unplug the machine and do a carriage reset, then make sure the blade is adjusting. If the red line is moving, then inspect the blade for cracks. I would also shut my computer down completely, then try again. Check for firmware updates. Also, try cutting a simple shape that you create in the software instead of bringing in an outside file.

@@silhouettesuccess Yes at time it does adjust on the 5 but the carrier is not lowering to cut. I stopped using the cameo 4 because it was not cutting and now this new machine is not working. I emailed Silhouette for assistance but have not gotten any help.

@@brendasantos-yt7wv It does take a while to hear back from Silhouette. Have you done a reset on the housing? Turn the machine off, then carefully slide the blade carriage all the way to the right, then all the way back to the left. Do that 3 times, then turn it back on and do a test cut.

I switched over from Cricut and seriously thought my Cameo 4 was broken the first time I cut with it! I haven't made my first cut yet, but I'm hoping for the best.
