"Tap to run" is now in the Scene menu of the app, not the Smart menu and the wizard in "Tap to run" is different. Once you've found it, you need to "add task" in the "Then" section of the screen. I think the other instructions are the same as the video.

for those that are getting the homekit error: make sure you have installed the "shortcut" app on you iphone and it should fix the problem. the smart life app is setting these up as shortcut commands and if you dont have it installed, it defaults to homekit (which this is not compatible with)

FWIW: I suggest you "call" these things something a bit unusual. "turn lights on" may run into issues with other Siri based commands ... instead "porch light on" or "reading lamp 1" may be better (at least for me....).

This doesnt work. Ive set up the shortcuts, but when I ask siri to trigger them, it tries to run them using the apple home app, which has nothing on it, and prompts to set something up, which i cant, because they arent apple devices...

I was having the same problem. First you need to have "Shortcuts" app installed on your iPhone. Then you have to enter the "Shortcuts" app and activate the shortcuts you made in Smart life app.

Yes, I just did it today. Make sure to have the HomePod set up on your Home app and it'll automatically work if your phone is on the same wifi.

To those not having it appear, simply having the Home and Shortcut apps open in the background and pulling down on the Smart life app Tap to Run page to refresh it got the Reccomendations and Add to Siri to show up, Works great even if there's a small delay.. now only if the screen turned off after i say the command

I gotchu so first make sure you’re doing it on the app that says “smart life” not LITEdge. Then once everything is connected on smart life go threw the process what the dude did but make sure you have Wifi ON

so if you create the shortcut on the smart life app on a n iPhone, can it be used by the same person but on an iPad without smart life installed, or could the shortcut be invoked by a HomePod? I'm assuming the shortcut requires the device the smart life app is on and the shortcut was created on to actually perform the shortcut action. Please let me know if that is a correct assumption.

I was having the same issue as many people. When I tried to use Siri it was telling me to use HomeKit. To get around this I changed the action to Reverse. So I would just set my bulb to light 1, light 2, etc. When I say “Hey Siri light 1” it just make s it the opposite of the state it is currently in. Works perfectly. Hope this can help someone.

For those people who are struggling with how to connect it to the with SIRI Just follow what the dude says and then THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEPS. Hello. Your video is very helpful for me. I have tried following and it is successful to Invoke Siri to turn on/off the light. I have an apple homepod smart speaker and instead of having to hold the phone up to my mouth to call up the Siri assistant. Can I call Siri on that speaker to turn the lights on and off? (sorry english is not my native language) the SmartLife app is different from the one in the video. if you want the shortcut to work you have to have the Shortcut app from Apple. It took a moment to me to find this so if it can help somebody my comment will not be useless !

Hey David, I used my ipad Home app for my KNX smart apartment in a different country. Now in Africa, I have fully automated my house and it works flawlessly with Alexa and Google, I tried Siri by adding Tap to Run but kept saying did you mean the light in my home, I have created another home in the Home app but still the same.. What's the solution ? I doubt Tuya app to smartlife would make any difference as I added all my devices using the Tuya

did you try with the Apple app « Shortcut » ? you have nothing to do in this app, but for me it was a game changer just to have it ! before having the app, Siri just try to link the shortcut with Apple app « Home » which is not supported by all Teckin items.

01:47 in the video it is under Mode... it is limited with colors at least for the smart bulbs I used in this video. I want to say it changes to whatever color it last was set to in the app and in my case that was blue!

So if anyone is getting the error 'It looks like you haven't set up any HomeKit accessories', firstly delete your Smart Life app. Secondly delete Home and Shortcuts app. Now reinstall in this order: Home app, then Shorctus app, then lastly Smart Life. Log back in and now your Siri commands should work!
