You didn't say if you kept the remote or not. I can say my experience with the new Sofabaton U2 was quite a bit better. As I understand the U1 had weak IR and that might have been were a lot of frustrations came from. I had no issue adding any of my devices or mapping keys , however I'm still messing around with macros tbh. Like you I'd been in the Harmony family for decades but we now need an alternative. Early Harmony's were just as frustrating but as we both learned things got better. I think Sofabaton might be the one to do the same .... Thanks for a very thorough tutorial

You're welcome & I'm glad you found it useful. I ended up returning it. The receiver & the tv have some type of conflict through the hdmi cable. When the tv turns off the receiver turns on. I totally agree we need something & I hope Sofabaton will improve like Harmony did. I had high hopes for this. I guess time will tell.

I have to agree with you the Harmony 650 was a very simple to setup. But, thanks to you I have my Sharp TV, Sony Receiver, and Sony Bluray installed. I tried following you instructions and got my Bluray to work off the red button. TV Receiver and Bluray worked. PROBLEM trying to get back to TV Mode. My Sharp has an input that drops down and has TV and HDMI 1-8. When I try to go to the sharp the TV is still in input hdmi 3 cause that was the Bluray. Can you help? Please. Thanks Joe

Hi Joe I wish I could but I sent this back. No matter what I did it would turn my receiver & tv off but then turn the tv back on. It had something to do with the hdmi cable. This remote really needs some refining. I honestly don't think you'll get it to work right.
