I got one for the in-laws, they love it. They needed to use a separate remote for the sound, one for changing the channel and one to turn the tv on but never could remember which one to use so I had to constantly reset their stuff. They don't need activity functions but it eats batteries like crazy so I'm looking at making a small lipo pack and 3d printed cover to fit inside the battery compartment and charge over usb

Will it control a Bel Canto CD player? The batteries on my remote leaked and destroyed the original remote.

They do have a few units for Bel Canto in there. If you know the exact model number, I can check to see if it’s one listed.

Its gotta at least be better than harmony. I didnt have the rosy relationship with my harmony that e everyone else had. Since when does tech go backwars?

I really do not recommend it. The switch wheel is terrible, you change the input and simply does not work properly. It goes two or more option or it does not move. There's no configurable delay between each button pressed, so changing channels can be a very slow challenge. If you choose to assign a key by learning, be aware that it can send twice the same command. I really hate it.
