How to setup Speed Alerts in Waze

I get an audible notification the first time I exceed the posted speed but after that it is only a visual alert on my android phone which is not noticeable while driving. Is this functioning correctly?

I'm having one problem with Waze in regards to the Red Light Camera alert and Speed Trap alert. I did what you said and have the checkmarks checked for show speedometer and play alert sound. The Speed Trap alert is for school camera's. When i'm driving and a Red Light Camera is approaching, Waze will say out lout a Red Light Camera is approaching. But for the Speed Traps, it doesn't say it out loud. It will only show on the map on your phone that a Speed Trap is approaching. How do i get it where it says out loud that a Speed Trap is approaching, instead of it just showing on the map on your phone.

Why!? I just got a speed camera ticket today! I am looking around for the audio alert now and found the Waze today is DIFFERENT than in this video! What a disappointment!

It looks like the government paid Waze to remove this feature……..it was losing them a lot of money and making the road safer
