How to SETUP the PS4 PRO Console for Beginners

Hi, this video shows you how to setup the PlayStation 4 Pro Console. It is aimed at beginners who have never set up a games console before or maybe haven't set one up in the past 10-15 years.
The video shows how to connect the cables, how to connect up the internet, how to setup HDR on the TV and check that you are getting 4k output, how to play a game, parental controls and other settings.

On the Sony X800D, they only allow 4K HDR on HDMI 2 and HDMI 3. In order to enable HDR, you go to Settings, External Inputs, HDMI Signal Format, and choose Enhanced Format.

For my setup, I have a 50 foot Ethernet Cable ran from the router in my kitchen, underneath the stairs, then plugged into an ethernet switch in my bedroom. Any device that can use Ethernet in my bedroom is connected to the Ethernet switch. As for the PS4 Pro, it's connected to with HDMI to a Sony 4K TV, and I use Optical Cable and USB to connect my Astro Mixamp TR, which goes with my headset, the Astro A40 TR.

GhostYT nope when you put the physical disc in your ps4 it will automatically download the whole game file which takes maximum 5 minutes ( depending on the storage of the game) and then once it’s downloaded you can play the game

Note : Don’t use optical, only if that is only choice. HDMI carries uncompressed audio with picture so you only need that. Spdif carries upto 5.1 compressed audio so you will get worse sound quality. Optical is ok when using stereo but hdmi can do the job just fine. Using optical was better choice more than decade ago but now it is kinda useless to people who have new technology.
