Make sure that you make the Default connection, your main Internet connection after creating a VPN connection

great video.question: does this work for video game consoles?because i tried this and when i try to play call of duty on Xbox it says to me i must check my internet connection as it cannot connect to data center therefor i endup not being able to play multiplayer.Connectivity is there but when you want to play multiplayer xbox(microsoft) refuses.

My Asus RT-AX88U does not have a "VPN Fusion" tab. However, it does have a tab called "VPN Director". Maybe at some later date you could do a video on how to use NordVPN using Asus VPN Director tab?

Just a guess… but quite likely it is NordVPN limiting simultaneous connections to just 2 on one NordVPN account? Maybe you can try with another VPN provider as well to get more than 2

VPN Fusion is only available on high-end ASUS routers, AX58U or better. The AX55 for example does have a VPN client menu, but can't restrict its usage to a specific device.

I purchased an ASUS Router with a VPN option - RT-AX86U Pro - I installed openvpn as a server option, initially covering the local network and recently included the Internet - which is fibre to the premises. After watching this video, I attempted to add NordVPN to the VPN Fusion as before the Router VPN, Nord was the software I used.. Unfortunately, I could not get it passed the initialisation stage, I am back to just OpenVPN covering Local and now the internet option has been activated to see if there are any side effects..

You teach tech very well...thank you! I set up fusion on my asus RT-AX3000 router and ran a speed test. With the vpn profiles running I got about 56 down and 36 up. Without the vpn profiles running I got 356 down and 57 up. Are there router settings that can bring the speed back with the vpn running?

Try the VPN without a router, like on your PC to see if it is already slow. My AX3000 router wasn't hindering the VPN speed

I have a vpn set up where I want all devices connected to the vpn except one which is a hard wired connection through a port on the router. Is it possible to specific a city in the country? Would be useful for things like DirecTV boxes that uses your internet. The issue I have now is that my Fiber ISP is located in LA, so my DirecTV box shows channels that are local to LA instead of where I am actually located.

I have a asus DSL-AX82U. My isp speed 70 mbit download 10 mbit upload. When I connect my pc to vpn fusion its connecting nicely. The problem is that my computer download speed limiting with my isp upload speed. When speednet test in testing downloading my router upload gauge shows same value. I can not solve the problem. My computer download seems in router upload. Can someone explain this.

Try the VPN speed by installing the VPN client on your PC to compare the 2 speeds. It may be that your VPN connection is slow.

Are you able to connect to VPN from another device on your network? Maybe your ISP is blocking VPN connections. You can also try and change the DNS servers that your router queries. Put them to google DNS servers

Merlin is custom firmware. Which is why you don't have it and some of asus routers don't have it either but they still have vpn with less multiplexing.
