Nice Rig, I keep a water proof Stanley Toolbox under my seat and holds all my terminal tackle. I also have a two gallon Camelback attached to the back of my seat. Good Luck.

Congrats ike on getting in the money on your first hobie series on the susquehanna. They said you practiced from sun up to sundown on the practice days and really put in the work. Just goes to show when you’re a top tier angler, and you put in the work, it doesn’t really matter the platform or type of tourney....you will succeed.

Would be awesome to get some tips on that fish finder. Could definitely use all the help I can get. Welcome to the kayak world. Tight lines!

It's funny looking back on this. I was wondering why in the world Ike got into kayak fishing. Now we know Hobie had the "Ike edition" in the works. This was all just a build up to sell that kayak. I can imagine all of them in a meeting talking about it. "Yeah and then we'll drop a custom Ike kayak, we just need to get him in a kayak tournament." 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 Smart.🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

Ever think about throwing on a motor Ike? I just added a bow trolling motor, and man, it's made my life easier lol. I've thought about utilizing my tablet and navionics to help me navigate as my 9" will do the structure and fish finding next open water. Thanks for sharing!

Great stuff mike and tips I will be using. Curious as to why you don't put the lithium battery under the front hatch strap inside the hull which would then open the front hatch more storage. You can water proof it. Also, I carry 10 rods on my h crate with additional rod holders and 3 rods on each side in kayak...haha 16 rods.

I've come to enjoy Ike's videos as both of us have gotten older. I turned to him when this whole new Ned rig fad came around. Now along with the chicken rig it's part of my everyday use. I'm very surprised he went with a 12-footer. Maybe next year he'll get the 14. He did mention something that most kayakers don't think about. Especially ones that are paddling. Keeping a extra paddle on solo trips is very important.

You got to love a sponsored professional fisherman, talking about all the goodies that there sponsors give them. Boy I wonder if they had to buy items with there one money like we have to, if they would be talking about all this product that he's talking about.

I like how he emphasizes all of the companies names before he talks about the product

I recently watched a video where you had a torqeedo 1103 installed on your Hobie kayak. I would like to know if there is anything you would change about the installation and if your happy with the motor in general. Thanks for all the videos.

Are you going to deck it out with the stand up rail in front and the side pontoons for stability? My wife has the PA12 360 and I have the PA14 360. We love them.

Google Earth Pro is a very good tool. You can select through different years and see what rivers and lakes look like during droughts. Here in Texas it's 2005 was a bad drought year. Always look at rock formations on points.

Wow that’s a whole lot of tackle Ike. It seems like we’re alike in that way. I just can’t stand being on the water and not having a certain bait with me to use. My Dad used to say to “never bring your entire tackle box to the bank or boat”. I’m not suggesting you’re doing anything of that sort as it wouldn’t come close to fitting it all in the boat. I guess my question is how do I get better at scaling back my tackle supply while yak fishing?

and did you not bring your kitchen sink, too onto your boat or kayak? 🙂
