Amazing😊 Love the color. I was born in 1955 and i can imagine my mom wearing something like this. She didn't wear pants or shorts a lot when i was small. She hated her legs. She used to wear cute sundresses in the summer. Loved that style. Thank you for the walk back in time.

So fabulous. Just recently found your channel and so glad I did. Lovely outfits. Your description of your steps are clear and concise. I have a few patterns from the 30s and 40s on my 2023 plans and a few from the 50s and 60s I want to play with. I have a cocktail dress pattern from the early 60s that I will use as a base pattern to make a Mrs. Maisel dress I saw on the show. Love period items. And of course making my own slips since they are impossible to find. Unless I buy vintage. Happy sewing😀

Absolutely beautiful outfit! I had to giggle when you mentioned Barbie, only because I'm a Barbie doll girl and it looks like something she would have in her closet! I came across your channel tonight and I just fell in love with everything you've done so far! I also subscribed tonight and I can't wait to watch more of you and see more of your beautiful fashions. Especially watching how you share sewing with all of us. I love the fashions from the 1940's and 1950's. I've been buying all of the Retro patterns from JoAnn's that are remakes and I have all of my Mom and Grandmother's patterns, starting from the 1930's. I haven't sewn much clothing for myself but I have for my granddaughter. I also have my original Barbie patterns my mother used to make my Barbie clothes with. Yes, I still have my Barbie along with the clothes and my Barbie Dream home from 1962. It is made from a hard cardboard type material and folds out into an open doll house. I turned 65 years old last year and I can honestly say that I'm still not grown up yet! I look forward to watching more from your channel.

I'm a new sub to your lovely channel. I was born in the mid-50s and about a year ago became inspired to start wearing vintage dresses from my birth era as part of my minimalist journey. I was so AMAZED when your channel appeared in my feed last week featuring the adorable 50s WALK AWAY DRESS 👗. I immediately knew this was the one! As a young girl, I was introduced to sewing ... bought a sewing machine a few years ago to pass on to my young granddaughters what little I remembered about the skill. Last summer they each made modest skirts. I'm not a seamstress, as yet, but will attempt to sew the WALK AWAY DRESS and MORE OF THEM, if successful. This is the charming modest 50s look I envisioned last year. Thank you for sharing your expert sewing skills, creative talents and humble modesty with me and the 🌎 world at large. ❤

My initial comment was when I was only halfway through... I have finished watching and oh my gosh this progresses exactly the speed that I think! This was unbelievably comforting! I am so, so very much looking forward to future productions, and I am going to binge-watch the other stuff on your channel!! (So much I want to say here, like the Kenmore machine? OMG just about the same color and everything, that was in every single house whether it was my grandmother's or my mother's. I grew up with a sewing machine and its table being a part of ALL furnishings situations. Just like you would definitely have a couch, you would always consider how to work that guy in! I collected vintage coats and vintage gloves!) I am unbelievably psyched to have found this!

Super beautiful outfit. Congratulations on 100k subscribers. Cant wait to see your silver play button hanging behind you. I have sew many questions for your next q&a: Do you dress vintage style everyday? I have a couple vintage patterns but find the sizing difficult to figure out because there are no finished garment measurements...what are your best tips for fitting these patterns? Is your home entirely vintage styled? Are you always on the hunt for vintage accessories? Where do you find most of your vintage finds? Can we see a tour of your vintage sewing room? I love that your family is supportive of your love and passion for vintage .

Beautiful outfit! Wonderful job. I absolutely love a straight/pencil skirt style and the kick pleats add a touch of class. The first sewing machine I ever had was a Kenmore pretty much like yours. I loved it and up until not long my sister had it and was using it. I think it finally gave up the ghost!! It’s really cool to see the outfits you sew. I was just a year old when this pattern was released so I never had the appreciation for the beauty, “simplicity,” and chicness of the styles of that decade. Thanks for the “reveal” as well as the added bonus of the other outfit in which you made your own pleat. The sweet summer outdoors dress. Your creations have their own glam to them and it would be a shame not to share them with anyone who is interested in a truly unique, not “one of the crowd” look! Would you mind showing s picture of your wedding gown if you wore one? I bet it was stunning. Were you rocking the 50’s vibe then? I bet the whole thing was amazing!
