Can you also make your own connected ruffles using a gathering stitch?
@TheCraftsChannel3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean sew all the pieces side to side first, then gather, then stitch to the backing? You could do it that way, but then there is twice as much thread in the construction, c x

Do we need to cut the scraps uniformly or would it be fine to use oddly shaped scraps? I make bags and clothes and those have curves and my scraps are always oddly shaped, not neat or easily trimmed to neat rectangles. I know it would affect the final look perhaps but technique wise?
@TheCraftsChannel3 жыл бұрын
Technique wise odd shapes are fine, I'd recommend you try to keep them about 3cm wide where you're going to stitch, and not too long in case your dog likes to eat fabric, c x

Can I use fleece fabric?
@TheCraftsChannel2 жыл бұрын
I would think so as long as your pet doesn't tend to chew and swallow pieces. Think fleece would be bad for their stomach, c x
@beantlallh17432 жыл бұрын
what type of fabric can you use?
@TheCraftsChannel2 жыл бұрын
I tend to use 100% cotton as I feel it is less harmful if swallowed and also frays easily meaning it's more difficult for the dog to pull the whole strip off at once, c x

Taping the strips back out of the way. So not to chance leaving a pin in the mat.
