How to sew a Kraft Tex key fob

Nice looking fob. I was wondering how the raw edges will be after a few weeks of use. Would it would be better to make the 2 strap pieces folded and the raw edges in the middle and then place the 2 raw edges together before sewing? Just a thought .... :)

Lesley Gilbert that is my comment also. With wear the raw edge will buckle I’m afraid. I would cut the Kraft Tex slightly wider and fold both edges I to the center like the fabric strip. I like the hardware and finished look, however, to be a wristlet it needs to be slightly longer.
