Mimi! Awesome sew-a-long. I love, love, love the jacket! just a few words to the commentors..... yes it is a lot of pieces, but, Mimi is what we call a master seamstress. I would suggest watching the sew a long a few times before starting on this project. also, if you follow Mimi for the jacket construction, then move to the paper instructions for the lining you'll be just fine. worked for me. I'm so proud of my self that I did it and my daughter is jealous! mission accomplished! 😘

Why does the pattern layout NOT have sleeve pieces cut out of lining material, but says to cut fabric and interfacing instead???? Your video does state to cut lining for these piece numbers 23 and 24. Also, isn't the yoke also supposed to be a lining piece? I don't see any mention of that. Thanks.

What kind of fabric was used I have sown for 65 years and I’ve never seen sewing like that I watch these videos because I like anything that has to do with sewing I’m not just learning you need to slow down a notch it was hard for me to try and keep up with you I can imagine how someone trying to follow this must feel not criticizing I’m just saying I love ❤️ your video but this one was a little fast please don’t take it personal just an observation happy sewing 🧵

Liz Garland measure your torso, subtract 1-2 inches from that. Anything more than 2 inches will look weird.

If you'd of sewn the lining to the sleeve before you put the sleeve on the jacket, then turned it right side out , wouldn't that have been easier.

@shirleyh.98202 жыл бұрын
Why did you wait to put the lining into the sleeves, why didn't you just sew it all together at once, instead of waiting till the end would've been easier.
@shirleyh.98202 жыл бұрын
Would've been easier to sew the lining in to the jacket fabric, you could've save yourself some time.
