Happy to hear you like it! If you choose a fabric like chiffon, then melting the edges is enough. I would also assume you could use tulle without hemming (and melting)

I’m following this tutorial right now, and you never said the setting for the iron when adding a crease to the ribbon. What settings did you use?

is it just a half circle skirt with a longer waist and a rounded edge?

Yes exactly, the waist measurement is increased to make it overlap, so this can be increased or decreased to fit your preference
