Hi Christine, I love this project and think I'll be making it for my mom. As a couple others have already commented, would it be possible for you to re-edit the video and add inches where you've only mentioned cm? Would be a great help. Thanks for the great video and inspiration. Hugs, Cathy from Nevada
@therealgr8typist Жыл бұрын
I invested in a couple of metric sewing rulers. They're inexpensive on Temu and other sites. I'm not a metric person either, but I can follow along using the proper rulers without fighting to figure out inches.
@ChristinesHomeAffairs Жыл бұрын
I have the same problem with measurements Cathy and you've also just answered a question for me. As mentioned in the video, this is the same as Tendersmiles video, so used her measurements. I always use fractions, and should have done it here. Fractions for card slots are 3½, 2⅛,1¾.
@janetsheehan6983 Жыл бұрын
Oh Christine, i love this project you make it look so easy. It turned out really well. Do you think that it would be ok to use decovil stabiliser on the outer fabric just to make it firmer or would it be too hard to turn at the end? Thanks again.😊
@ChristinesHomeAffairs Жыл бұрын
I think I'd prefer it with the Decovil too Janet, but thought it might be too stiff. It would help if you made the opening for turning through a lot bigger. let me know if that works😀

Good morning Aussie girl Greetings from cold and almost snowy Pacific NW It’s about 3 AM here. No wait a minute 4 AM always a good time to watch a tutorial. Also, what would make this tutorial a 10 out of 10 which very very few people do is always mention the type of needle you used the type of thread you used and the stitch length There are a lot of people who may not know the best options
@ChristinesHomeAffairs Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I'm guilty of not worrying too much about my needles, but do mention it in some of my recent videos with heavier fabric😁
@dcwatashi Жыл бұрын
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs well, we want to set people up for success, and I belong to a Facebook group for both of my machines actually three of my machines and you would be surprised or would not be surprised how many questions come up about needles so I do think it’s extremely important to put that information in there You probably don’t have time to watch other KZbin channels, but Vanessa who has the channel called “the crafty Gemini” She is one of the few that will actually tell you stitch length and needle type and sometimes will talk about thread. It’s amazing how many people just leave out that information I thought it would be helpful and it would have your video stand out amongst the thousands of other sewing channels ❤️❤️👍🏻
