This is the first cargo on tutorial on youtube i found very easy to understand and follow. Plz what type of materials are used to sew cargo pants because i would like to use ankara (African fabric) but i dont know what other material use to make it strong enough or to give it the cargo look?
@GemniLifestyleАй бұрын
Thanks for your encouraging feedback. The fabric I used in this video is called chinos but Ankara is also a good option. Typically, Cargo pants are made from durable fabrics like polyester, cotton, nylon, or blends of these materials, depending on what look or style you intend to achieve.

@@GemniLifestylethank you so much for your reply The style am going for is for my cargo to look cargo but with full on Ankara material but am afraid the Ankara alone might not be enough, so I don't know what other material I can add to the ankara to make it look like cargo, though have not sewn yet to tell if ankara is good or not but I'll like your advice on whether ankara alone with maybe landing will be okay or I'll need an extra material to bring the cargo look in the trouser ?
@GemniLifestyleАй бұрын
@DavidRejoice-wo5js are you concerned that your fabric won’t be enough to make the trouser or that the texture of the Ankara won’t give the cargo look? *You don’t need to add lining to the inside of the trouser for it to look like cargo pants. *If your Ankara won’t be enough to cut out the trousers then you can use any fabric that has a similar texture to complete it.

How did u come by the 1.5 front crotch extension?
@GemniLifestyle2 ай бұрын
After trying out different methods, that’s the measurement I developed that fits different sizes including XL and XXL (but the crotch depth is usually longer for them). Let me know if this answers your question

@@GemniLifestyle what crotch depth can i use for hip 45?
@GemniLifestyle2 ай бұрын
@AdmiringGlacier-rt2rs is it for a high waist or a regular waist trouser ?
@GemniLifestyle2 ай бұрын
@AdmiringGlacier-rt2rs add 3” to the waist to hip measurement. Let’s say the waist to hip is 10”, so 10+3=13

How many yards please
@GemniLifestyle29 күн бұрын
@ 2 yards will be enough If the hip measurement your working with falls between 30-45 inches, but you’ll need more if it exceeds 45 inches.
