How to sew FABRIC BUNTING | Fabric Bunting Tutorial

So today I'm taking my sewing journey pretty seriously and showing everyone how to sew fabric bunting in this fabric bunting tutorial video! It kind of makes a change, showing people how to make something rather than how not to make something! And to be fair I thought sewing fabric bunting would be a super easy beginner sewing project, and it kind of was but also was a little trickier than I had imagined! Creating the fabric triangles for the bunting was definitely the easiest part, but when it came to attaching the fabric bunting triangles to the herringbone tape (still have no idea what that is) that's when things go a little tougher! But I'm still pretty please with my fabric bunting, feel free to let me know what your thoughts were on this fabric bunting tutorial, and whether you now know how to successfully sew some fabric bunting!

This video was good fun! The toe orgasm, well that was VEEERY different lol. Seriously tho, your bunting came out really smart! You were right about that piece that went wrong on you. If you take the seam too close to the raw edge of the fabric, the sewing machine snarls up quite badly. The friend who gave you that fabric was really kind. Fabric is totally expensive these days. I don't really understand why. I love watching your sewing videos, they are so much fun! Have a wonderful week off Ant!

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Getting everything cut pinned ready... Sewing your own things takes a lot of time. But when you finish it's so rewarding and your bunting looks amazing. Gorgeous bunting, Ant! I have made it before as gufts for other people, but you've inspired me to whip up some for myself! Regarding division of labour in marriages, even though my ex & I bith looked after the children, sometimes I found that a school had rung me because the children were sick (this was before mobile phones), but they didn't bother the children's father when they couldn't get on to me. I felt quite discriminated against, as if my life/day/job could be interrupted, but not his. You made a good point about equality there, & when it's women discriminating against women it's even harder to understand or tolerate.

Ok, now to finish your project, you need to iron those bits flat. :) THEN it's properly finished! LOL You did really well hun. People don't realize how exhausting it is to concentrate that hard on making sure you sew a straight line.... a very long straight line, making sure to get all the bits in there. Yup! Until someone sews they don't know how exhausting it is. And just think - they used to do all this by hand! Makes me want to faint! LOL I am SO lucky to have a husband who was raised "properly" by his mum. He cleans house, does the dishes - cleans the litter box! (these days tho it's pretty easy to do so since I got a robot litter box!) I'll cook, but he does most of the cleaning and I couldn't be happier about it LOL A relationship needs compromise, give and take. If you're the one take take taking (hmm Rocky Horror line there...) then it won't last without resentment.
