Thank you for being so kind, helpful, real, straight and to the point. There are only a couple of users I can tolerate because of all the bluster and filler stuff they say and it gets hard as soneine w a mild learning disability. so, thank you thank you.

Thank you. Was so very helpful for both sewing machine & serger. Gave been a bit intimidated with my first spandex project. As a Tyype 1 diabetic (53 yrs now) wearing two medical devices, I need a sretch tube to protect my sensor device when attached to my arm or thigh to avoid disconnecting the device(s) if bumped/dislodged. These are quite costly & I purchased two yards of natural color (closely matching light Caucasian skin). Have been afraid to actually start. - Step one: I picked the color & ordered it. -Strp two: I watched your video & witnessed your ease in handling spandex. - Step three: Now I feel like I can do it. I'll cut a little larger to determine correct size & cut again as needed after the practice piece proves the correct size. I am no longer worried about the sewing. I was successful in using a sock, cutting the toe section & attaching elastic top & bottom. Not as pretty. Spandex should be much nicer to hide under my office suit wear. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THOSE OF US WHO COULD USE IT.

La máquina tendrá 40 años, pero cose divinamente!!! Tanto el pespunte, como el zigzag, sin saltos, todas las puntadas perfectas. Un vídeo muy interesante, muchas gracias 🙏🏻🙋🏻♀️🇪🇦

Hey good stuff. I don't think I'll sew but I hope to have a friend do it or even hire somebody but I bought some spandex blend to make a table covering like they use in the service industry and I wasn't sure if I needed special thread as well as the special way to sew as you're so effectively doing. Your comments are appreciated. Thanks for all you do😊

Great tutorial! You kept it simple and short, while also concise and informative. Going to take a quick look at your library, then off to tackle this spandex. As I'm accident prone, I appreciated the warning from your E.R. story. 😉

Thank you so much for this video! I just subscribed to your channel! I'm starting to sew and I want to do cotton stretch pants (the ones you use to go to the gym -not fashion leggings). I wanted to ask you for advice as to what fabric to choose. I want to do it myself because I feel nowadays fabrics are too thin and don't "grab" everything in place as they should. So I'd like a thick enough cotton fabric with a bit of spandex. The less spandex, the better, right? What kind of fabric and what % of spandex you suggest? Also, I suggest doing an introductory video with various pieces so that we can see how much fabrics stretch at different spandex percentages. Thank you so much!

How would I do the straight stretch technique with curves?
@alikatts3232 жыл бұрын
Good question. Anyone?
@shanechandler95892 жыл бұрын
You would work in smaller section and thin straight pins to hold the curves together. We you stretch a curved piece fabric it straightens out and then once you let go it will spring back into its curve.

So if I’m cutting eye holes in a body suit (for costuming, not for actual ability to see) do I need to stretch it, or if I mark the holes while the fabric is stretched then sew, would that work?
