Awesome video Johanna!! I only make my leggings! (never purchase them!) I purchased your Aila leggings pattern and can't wait to sew them up!!! I have a quick question you may have covered in your videos (or your book)...can lightweight scuba knit be used for leggings?

Hi Myra! I haven't really addressed scuba, but I did make a pair of Aila leggings using a "scubai-sh" fabric but with fleece backing instead, and that worked really well. As long the cross- and length-wise stretch is there (at least 65% cross and around 50% lenght-wise) is what I recommend. Please report back if you try as I'm really curios to know if it works!

And in answer to my question to you, yes they can be made in a scuba knit as long as it is two way stretch (both horizontal and vertical). If I look at my store bought leggings, they look like they overlocked the seam and then folded it flat and did coverstitch. The coverstitch is done flat, how are they reaching all they way up inside the leg?
