Read the instructions. I don't have one, but I think it's impossible, just like it's impossible to manually shift into gear on an automatic car.

I just got a Brother LX3817G Sewing Machine trying to hem jean but they are to think there's a upper tension-control button with numbers on it when sewing what tension number should I be using when sewing blue jeans 👖 and also there's a pattern selection dial what stich number should I be using for sewing blue jeans 👖??

I do not recommend hemming jeans on a household sewing machine, unless it is provided in the instructions for it. The tension is set to average 3 -5, straight stitch 8-9.

Domestic sewing machine are can't do thick jean, i just find it so painful watching this is like struggling, cause i have one just like that. i just sew by hand anything that is very thick fabric like jean or i might get a new one up grade one that can sew denim and silk .
