I know it has been some time when this video was made and it helped me to get started on my project. I am working on controlling 6 stepper motors over usb via a GUI. It is working well. Now I want to go wireless and after much research Including watching this video I managed to get it working. Problem is I accidentally turned everything off and all the code in the terminal was lost. Yes I know. Hey I’m nearly 72….. Anyhow I’ve been struggling to get it working again. The host seems to be working but the client code isn’t. I can’t get it to connect to the host. I’m using 2 Pi. A 3b as the server and a Pi 4 as the client and the Linux software I’ve found and by the way I think is supposed to be included in the latest Raspberry O.S. The issue is with the client usbip. Anyhow I tell you all this so I can ask if you could make a video using 2 Pi. If I can get this working I’ll probably use a Pi Zero W as the server as others have done. Thanks for this video. It helped. I’ve looked everywhere for a fix. It. must be possible if I could do it once. Thanks. I’ll keep watching for comments etc.

@eliotcole2 жыл бұрын
I know this is a couple of years old, and that you have newer one with the application that does everything, but I prefer not to rely on something that could go non-open source. This feels like it's less likely to do so. I'm hoping that the delay will be less so for audio, since it's a lower rate rate on the USB and there's a better potential for sending a high quality sound from the device to the receiving computer perhaps even than dedicated wireless audio equipment.

I'm gearing up to do this, however I'm not entirely certain as to how this network looks. Is the RPi the hub or the spoke in all of this? Where does the usb radio go? The PC? My goal for this is to be able to console into an aquarium controller that uses a USB 2.0 B interface to a PC. Would the RPi connect directly to the aquarium controller, and the radio dongle to my PC?

So, if I use an Arduino with aDIY IR receiver as an USB host keyboard to control my PC with a remote (you know, that HID thing with keyboard shortcuts bound to whatever signals my old TV remote emits), I could technically attach this Arduino to a Pi and use it to control my laptop the same as I am currently controlling my desktop (both simultaneously, that is)?
