How to sharpen a charcoal pencil with a knife

when I was a potter I had a lot of calcium carbonate and added water and formed it to make my own chalk. You can even add colorant to make colored chalk. I love your videos and send people there sometimes.

This is how I always sharpened my pencils as a child. We didn't have sharpeners, they were too expensive. I used knifes from the kitchen drawer 😃

Hey Josh, quick question. I am currently drawing on a large board with acrylics (black & white) and the background is white. I messed up with my painting. Can I go over the entire board again with white acrylic and start over? It should actually cover the 2nd time. Thank you!

I use Fabriano Artistico for all dry mediums, and even more for charcoal. So I guess charcoal works nice and more than that looks great, on many watercolor papers. Arches Watercolor, Fabriano Artistico and Watercolor papers from Legion, are the most common watercolor papers, I 've noticed that artists use for dry mediums. They're better for more experienced Artists and not beginners, because sometimes dry mediums aren't the easiest medium to use on them, however the result pays back in double, drawing look way better, than on common cartridge or other drawing papers.

Sir, when we draw through pencil on paper if something mistake we use eraser for rectifying drawing. In charcoal process what we use , for clear the drawing out of charcoal layers sketch? Sir please mention the product. I have only charcoal, paper. I saw you sir use sticky gum like thing to clear the image from black layers of sketch. I just want to know what is that product?

why do you seem so adamant that white charcoal isnt real? its a different burning process but its 100% possible to naturally make white charcoal

@@MadCharcoal its not whats used by artists, but its definitely a real thing. i believe the difference lies in the temperature and time that you are burning the wood also sorry, rereading my comment im just realizing its mad aggressive for no reason lol
